For those that wish, this is how it works. To start it off, post a pic of any commemorative half or any coin dated 1936. Let's say next someone post an image of a 1936 Washington quarter. You would now need to post a pic of the same type coin (a Washington quarter) or anything dated 1936. Let's see some cool coins.

This is why I still like to watch Rick Tomaska. He always has something interesting on his show! Here is our own NGC President Mark Salzberg opening up and authenticating an original mint-sealed bag of Kennedys issued on the first day (03/19/1964). NGC soft-graded them Brilliant Uncirculated and Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. Rick was offering the choice examples, which are basically in the MS 63 range, for about $500 a piece. They had the special Kennedy label, too, with the first day of issue designation. It was a very interesting piece of Kennedy and U.S. coinage history.

Ok so does the value that’s shown on this coin apply to the whole set or just to this coin which shows 200k?

A correspondent asked about the long-rumored Trade dollar die variety book status. As far as I've been told, nothing has happened. The publication project I'd tried to assemble did not work because no one had a complete list, and several expert collectors refused to cooperate with one another.

I've been thinking.......we have a "For the love of copper" thread, so why not a "For the love of silver" thread? So, let's give this a try!! Post any coins you want to share, just as long as they're silver. I'll start us off with my only Faustina the Younger provincial, a silver Tetradrachm minted in Alexandria, Egypt: Let's see some great silver!!!

There's been an awful lot of conjecture on at least two, possibly three current topics, asserting any number of debatable "facts," all of are difficult to prove due to a multiplicity of factors including figures from a variety of sources as well as personal experiences. None, unfortunately, are above reproach. Let's get down to hard facts. Volunteer a figure and cite an unimpeachable source, or sources, for your assertion.

This was my best Central States show ever! And many dealers with whom I spoke agreed that this particular show was one of their best CSNS shows as well. Cindy Wibker and the CSNS folks really did outdo themselves in putting on this show - from Dealer Day through Saturday! Also, as you will see, the hotel bar is a very popular meeting spot for dealers and collectors alike. I took a lot of photos of the various folks who were there each night, so be sure to check out all the pics to see if I captured any of you in my photos! I left beautiful OC early on Tuesday very much looking forward to setting up at this show, seeing my friends, and enjoying my stay at the beaut
