Let's see how many TPG's (used loosely) we can name. I have coins graded by: MCCS TruGrade and PCC. Are these coins what they say they are? Most likely not. NGC Registry

Don't forget SGS, NNGC, MMCGC, WCG, PGCS ICG does not over grade any more than NGC. NGC has graded a lot more coins ms-70 than PCGS has. Does that mean NGC is bad??? And as far as who is looking for a "sucker" to take advantage of, We all know Robert (Shop at Home) will say anything it takes to separate people from their money. It has been said that no body can grade 15,000 coins ms-70 " First Day of Issue" in one day. But what I can't understand is how can coins be graded BU (witch is not in

Just got my latest submission from NGC. If all my submissions were like this one, I would be the happiest guy on the planet! OK some of the submissions were gimme's. my Jamestown $5 golds all came back PF70UCAM'S. That's a gimme...the pop has more 70's than 69's (does that make the 69's more valuable due to their scarcity?). The real gems were my 1973 MS66 Eisenhower (SEE PIC)none better only 18 like it. and my 1960 MS65 Franklin 22 better. Submissions like these keep me coming back for mo

I found a very nice die variety

FS-25-1962-101 in my '62 Proof Set Not too long ago I coughed up 40 bucks to buy the new Cherrypickers Guide V.2. This in itself is a minor miracle, as I am the first to admit, I am a real cheapskate. I have always been interested in die varieties, so I figured I would need to actually buy the book, as opposed to borrowing it permanantly from the library. At Last a set of 70 Silver Anniversary Eagles

1 set out of 7 I consider myself new to all this although I have been a member for 6 months. I have been reading entries for months and finally am happy to post my own. After months of waiting for my sets to arrive and be graded, I was able to squeeze one perfect set out of seven sent in. I even figured out how to enter them in the registry. My next obstacle is to add pictures after I read how to take them so they look as nice as ones I've seen here. I now can see how this can be addicting!

Should NGC allow ICG and ANACS on thier registry? I think so. What about you?I like to write about what's on my mind. Wether it be on the internet, on paper, wherever. The New Godless Dollars - Blank edge

I've bought a few of these and am hoping there will be a way to tell the philly mint no edge coins from the Denver mint no edge coins. I am a little surprised to see this kind of error on a US coin. The inscription is, after all, required by law to be on the coin. When these coins first came out I was really disapointed. 20th Anniversay Silver Dollar Sets, PART-2! Well! I received my second order of the 20th Anniversay Silver Eagles sets back! NGC found my girls wanting, but one of the boys was perfect! Now after getting to spend some time with, they will be going to live with their sisters and brothers in a box, in a dark hole! PCGS is slipping. (Revised)

Is PCGS's grading slipping, or is it just me? Yesterday my father and I stopped at a local coinshop just to look around and such. We looked at a '34-S Peace dollar that he sent in to ANACS which came back AU-58 Details cleaned. Soon we went on to talk about how ANACS grades cleaned coins when I asked him if ICG was still above NGC. He said yes and went on to say that if PCGS is supposed to be #1 they are slipping. Do My Eyes and Magnifier Still Work? Since it is a dreary day here in Southern California, I have used it as an excuse [as if I need one] to pull out the boxes of my Modern Commemorative Registry Set and take a tour. Finally completed a set.

I have been working on an ASE MS set for almost 2 years now I have been working on an ASE MS set for almost 2 years now and the 1986 that arrived yesterday made the set complete. I must be gettin' old....

Saturday night and I'm writing a JOURNAL entry. It?s been 4 months since my last entry. In that entry I mentioned upgrades to my Morgan Dollar set. I also stated that the torrid coin buying pace I had been setting must slow down. I have upgraded 7 more members of the set, but I have not bought a coin for a month. I must say that I am vastly disappointed in the caliber of people who now claim to be numismatists... These people collect some of the most ridiculous items. Such as Lincoln pennies, and Jefferson nickels...and those new fangled dollars...Susan B. and Ike's and Sacagawea. What kind of names are those? Got my 2 NGC Award Plaques today... I almost opened the package in my car..it was a box from NGC and could be only 1 thing, the Awards that I was granted for best Collectors' Journal and the other for Most Creative Signature Set. The U.S. Mint is Unbelievable!!!

If you have ever had a probelm with the U.S. Mint read this... On Feb. 15th. I place and order for a roll of the Presidential dollars from the Denver mint which were available and in stock with Expedite shipping. When I completed the transaction, the order status indicated that my "order is in processing", o.k. no problem. 20TH ANNIVERSARY EAGLES

With all the delays and frustrations with NGC I guess I made the right choice! I was using PCGS for all my coin grading (had a prob with NGC). Someone said PCGS had a policy not to grade any 20th's with a MS70! SOMETHING ABOUT THAT DIDN'T SOUND RIGHT!! I decided to use NGC for half my 20TH'S JUST IN CASE!! Just looked at the PCGS pop report and guess how many MS70'S they graded? That's right......zero. And it's not just the 20th's. Most of the silver ASE'S have no MS70'S Something strike

Can any one help with this coin please Found in a grot box? i think this is a Silver 1/5 sol coin from Peru dated 1864 overdate/dubbled (most of the letters are dubbled and the date numbers)coin KM# 191 page 483.. but it is listed with a Plain edge.. this one has a reeded edge ? 1987 D Clad Kennedy I have a Kennedy MS collection and I have 1 coin that has no Value in the registry. It is a 1987 C Clad Kennedy MS-66. There is no price showing on NGC site. But the MS-65 and MS-67 has a value. Can anyboby tell me why NGC skiped this grade in giving it a price?
