How many AU-58's do YOU own? How many great coins do YOU own? Coins so great, they look BU, but have just that trace of wear? AU-58, right? How many crappy coins do you own? Tip from a photographer friend Build yourself a photo studio out of a box! Yeah, I know I had the same reaction. Actually it works pretty well at least I'm getting consistent lighting in my photos. Built this shadow box I call it because I can move the shadow by moving the light source around. What I need now is a good light like Moondoggy has been using or a halogen lamp on a tall enough stand to shine on the top of my box. I'm leaning toward the halogen because I can use it to highlight hair

Getting tired of seeing that red -3?? points in my sets Friends; Well the year is off to a blast in my numismatic life and work. No answer from NGC

I have no answer from on a graded morgan dollars About 7 seven days ago I ask NGC for help on a morgan dollars, but did not receive a answer. since Amy left ngc, there has been little to no help from ngc. On 11-20-10 i had sent in a 1879CC, to be graded with some other coin. this coin is 2421105-009. I have looked over this coin and do not agreed it is a G-6 coin. I photograph grade it and took to my coin dealer and he looked at it and agreed that it was miss graded it should have been a G

Unusual find

Something I have never seen before searching Lincoln's Good Afternoon, I have been sick for the last 8 days. Severe sinus congestion, headache, ear aches (both ears), eyes hurt, headache, etc. I am sure you know the drill!! Went to Dr. and got antibiotics and afrin. Expensive Empty Tubes

that aren't so empty any more... As I mentioned in an earlier post, my father-in-law recently bought several 1 oz. gold Maple Leafs for my wife's birthday. They came in soft plastic flips. I decided that I'd rather store them more conveniently and safely in original tubes if I could find them. First buy in 2011 completes my set of 'S" Mint Indian Head Half Eagles

I've taken my first step in my coin collecting journey. I finally found a 1908-S Indian Head Half Eagle to complete my small set of Indian Half Eagles from the San Francisco Mint. The coin was a lovely example that was graded AU55 by NGC. It looks solid for the grade. The coin was purchased at this month's FUN on my behalf by a very good friend. on jan 22 -2009 i posted a journal regarding the bet that myself (fernando Baez) and mr. Isaac Rudman did. We as avid collectors at the end of year 2009 ended Mr Rudman in place 25 in the overall place I ended in place 32. Now this coin adrenaline has really hit us hard.
