Don't listen to others!

Collect what you like and not what others think you should collect. When you get a coin dealer newsletter they always say to buy this and that, but is that what you really want to collect. For example, the guys that go to auctions and pay $30,000 for a modern coin. They are buying what they like and trying to build there set to the best of their abilities. Most people think there crazy and I certainly would never pay that much money for a modern even if I was rich out of my mind. But at least

Ahh... The waiting continues (more sequels than Friday the 13th)

Stuck in "Received" Purgatory for 10 days now I know. I have no right to complain. The turnaround times are plainly listed for all to see. But... I'm really not complaining. It's well.... it's more like whining. I fully understand that the fine people at NGC are doing their utmost to turn my coins around and get them back to me as expeditiously as possible. It's just that I hate the wait. I'm a member of the "I want it now" generation, and well, darn it, I really would like to have it now..

Honestly, I don't know. I've thought about getting a reference and trying to price them and if I find something I like I'll let you know but right now you probably know as much as I do. Most of the foreign coins I have mean more in a sentimental sense than anything else so I've never tried to price them. try to make this a little fun and this is what I get... You know... This forum can be a little stuffy at times but it is fun too. I "TRY" to add a little humor every now and then, and usually fail in the process, but at least I try. I also try to add a little excitement from time to time too. I commend you on the effort to make things interesting & fun! The trivias are really fun and they make a person look up things that you never would otherwise. It expands ones knowlege of coin, teachs you something you wouldn't have otherwise even looked into. It's fun to win once, but it's really just fun trying to play and learn something new. This is why I collect coins and paper money. My coin collecting days started when I was about ten years old while helping my grandfather rebuild a house during the summer.
