No good deed goes unpunished...

try to make this a little fun and this is what I get...

You know... This forum can be a little stuffy at times but it is fun too. I "TRY" to add a little humor every now and then, and usually fail in the process, but at least I try. I also try to add a little excitement from time to time too. When NGC does not have their trivia contest, I like to do one myself. I get great responses from many collectors (usually) and I have a great time doing it.

Well last week, I posted a question about PT Barnum and which coin he appeared on. NOBODY responded..at all!! Figured people on vacation and the like, people getting tired of my drivel..you know. So I didn't give it much thought. Well AFTER I posted the answer, a fellow collector says s/he sent the right answer and wants the free coin. I explained that there were no responses at all, and that I would not award the coin this time around.

This week, as there is no NGC trivia question again, I decided to post yet another trivia question. The prize being the coin from last week PLUS another.. 2 coins. Thats fair right??

So this collector is now demanding I send him this coin, and has made a posting, basically calling me a liar.

No good deed goes unpunished. See what happens when you try to be nice!!

Well, I answered this collector, and I will admit to being not very cordial.

The good news... There were several correct answers this time around. I was going to announce the winner tomorrow, but I am certain you dont want to see yet another long drawn out post from me so without further adue (did I spell that right??) the winner is.... DBOSTER. This weeks answer was the Bar Cent. Originally patterened after the Revolutionary war soldiers shirt button. If you will send me your snail mail address, I will send you BOTH coins.. 1961 proof nickel (raw) and a 1961 proof dime (raw).

I thank all those that played and tried to make this fun. As for somebody demanding I send them a coin they didn't rightfully win... BUZZ OFF!!!

Respectfully (mostly)

Michael Cooper
