1902 Low Tide Penny
Here is an example of a 1902 Low Tide British Penny, one of a number of Edward VII and George V red blazing gems recently purchased and just returned from grading at NGC.
1738 two guineas
Just returned from NGC, an MS 61 1738 two guineas.
Will show the reverse here.
I will chime in here and hope that the functionality of the journals is restored soon. I dont find the chat boards useful for world coins as the sort options leave quite a bit to be desired.
there should be an option to sort by the most recent post, which seems common sense to me (but maybe I didnt see it), as well as for world coins, to sort by country.
26 other coins were returned with the
Too much chatter
With the series of journal posts and counter-posts involving # in the last few days, I sincerely hope NGC will bring back the response option - and soon!
Everybody has a choice to belong to the NGC registry or not. I am in the NGC Registry to enjoy collecting and compare my coins to the rest of NGC collectors. It shows # is not very smart leaving a paper trail if he chooses to make good on his threat. Too bad he didn't give his address as well so he can be held accountable if anything happens. He just needs to relax and take his Meds.

Are you seriously threatening CCG and NGC's day-to-day operations and members of their staff with illegal activity because you don't like their chat board format?
As smart as you may think you are, I'd advise you to start selling some of your coins to cover your legal expenses. I really can't believe anyone in this community would express such petty and aggressive (criminal) behaviour online. Your journal entry here is representative of the reasons you were banned from the forums.
We would like to thank everyone for their patience as we transitioned to the new NGC Chat Boards.
Between the NGC, CGC and PMG Chat Boards we migrated and reformatted more than 9 million posts -- a process that unfortunately required a significant amount of time. We know that downtime and issues related to the launch of new software can be frustrating.
The new NGC Chat Boards have a number of new features. It has a responsive design which makes it much easier to use on mobile devices. Also,
The number of replies gives a barometer of the value of the journal post.
I too was saddened by the removal of the reply option on the Recent Journals section that were posted on the left side of the registry screen. I would gauge the quality of one of my posts based on the number of replies it received. I don't want to go searching through the chat rooms nor will I. I really enjoyed some of the posts, especially those with pictures, There on the left of my registry Control Panel screen ea
Can't get on Chat??
Can't reply to journals?? WHY? Can't get on the Chat either, am I that computer illiterate? Guess so. where does one go now for quick informative answers on things? Heck, the way my computer is lately I am not even sure this will get on. So a little help folks Where does one go now, GUESS I missed the MEMO, cuz I can't find the stinking MEMO either.
New or amended custom sets
I have added a new custom set, for the minor denominations for Queen Anne (1702-1714) as well as added to the type set for George II (1727-1760). there is still a bit of work to do to upgrade some of the pictures for other sets, but quite a bit has been done in the last couple of months, so if you are so inclined, check them out!
This is going to take a little time to adjust to.
Friends,
I finally got into the chat boards today after work. WOW -- everything is so different that you are totally lost from the start. Have patience though as you will get use to the new platform. I posted in the money market and even added a pic of a coin from my computer data. That is a great ++ now with the easy new downloading available.

First one found, a true "Discovery Coin"!
I have been collecting and trading Mexican Libertads for roughly 5 years, in both gold and silver. Most of my purchases are of a pure "bullion" type of buy, for stacking, and awaiting a day when spot price allows for a great resale price. I loaded up on 2015 coinage, mostly BU Silvers, and, a handful of 2 Ounce Proof and 5 Oz Proof coins.
While looking at the 2 Oz Proofs for any doubled dies, I noticed a "gap" in the left wing area(right as viewed),
Who agrees?
I've now read 2 articles in the past few days about complaints on not being able to add or update previous entries on PCGS coins. For me, this is why I started my registry set as well. And I too fell it is complete BS. We can't even update the existing PCGS coins.
Personally, Now that NGC and PCGS only support there own coins and only allow there coins into there respective registries. I would like to see another company start a "combined registry" of both. like NGC was.
Queen Anne, 1707 Halfcrown
Here is the latest purchase, made this month, a nice 1707 halfcrown.
Im nearing the end of my quest to purchase top notch examples of at least one example of each denomination for British milled monarchs (the minors) but still have a few to go.
This piece was never circulated I dont think, and is graded MS 62, but it has the slightest of cabinet friction on the shoulder. I have never seen a gem or very choice Anne halfcrown. Who knows, there may be one out there.
WE change how our sets are acquired.
I just bought a microscope camera to make better pics. Though PCGS holders are Grandfathered in, I can't even upgrade my PCGS pictures. Terryah just sent his entire sets to Heritage to liquidate. I am sad to see him go. He is a very honest collector and I have had a very satisfying experience competing with him.................Daniel McMunn
I'M NOT MUCH OF A NUMISMATIC, IM MORE OF A PHILATELIC AT HEART REALLY, BUT EVERY KIDS DREAM IS TO COME ACROSS A 1909 S VDB, WELL I'LL BE DAMNED IF ONE DIDN'T COME MY WAY. I SOLD IT THE NEXT DAY TO LIDO COIN SHOP. I DON'T BUY THINGS SUCH AS COINS OR STAMPS, I HAVE A GOOD EYE THOUGH. THIS ONE IS A VERY RARE FIND, SIMILAR TO THE ROMAN COIN I FOUND IN A BUCKET OF NUTS, SCREWS, AND BOLTS SETTING UP A YARD SALE. OF COURSE WHEN I FIND SOMETHING LIKE THAT, IT'S BY FEEL. COULD BE A COIN, MAYBE NOT. UNFOR
I can no longer enter PCGS coins in the registry
#1 Jefferson complete setAdditionalRe: Letters from Mr. Salzburg on PCGS coins in the registryMy reply to Mr. Salzburg on this would be that there has been a dramatic increase in the number of graded coins by BOTH services. The possibility that there are more graded specimens for any particular coin now has probably increased across the board. This of course will decrease the value of any given coin. However all the coins existed prior to the inc
Today's Acquisition.
Also, added 3 new comp. sets, and a number of very high grade pcgs quarter and half eagles. Some new VAMs as well.
Happy Hunting.....
Almost a perfect submission

1937-S PCGS MS 66 CAC
I participated for the first time, ever, in a Legend sale. There were some absolutely stunning, original beauties in that sale, including the 'Northern lights' Morgan dollars. Walkers and other series stunners were no exception, too, as I found this wonderful colorful premium gem.
It is VERY well struck with full skirts, well rounded & defined thumb, full head and sharp eagle's breast and trailing leg. The obverse is very unique with toning of rose, cranberry and
I'm back at it and am excited to be focusing on my coin collection.
I have been focusing on collecting a type set of early commemorative coins. I'm nearly there. I have 8 more coins to get and of course they are the most expensive ones. I'm thinking about the Antietam coin or the Battle of Gettysburg coin for when my tax return arrives. I also need the following: Isabella Quarter, Missouri, Hawaii, Hudson, Spanish Trail, Cincinnati. To maintain my collection at MS65 or better, I will need to p
Having fun examining things closely...
Another coin I got from the Heritage auctions associated with the recent FUN show is an 1871 proof half dime. I already had one graded PF 64 Cameo, and wanted to upgrade to this new PF 66 Cameo. But there is a difference more important to me than the TPG grade.
The Redbook and other references say that 960 1871 proof half dimes were struck. In his book on Liberty Seated Half Dimes, Al Blythe stated that many of them were melted in July 1873, a few month
Another MS-66
Well I added another upgrade to my Icelandic Kingdom Era coin set tonight a 1929 2 Kronur NGC MS-66. This coin I was looking for many years now and was one of only a hand full of Icelandic coins graded by NGC back some 12 or 13 years ago,, Back then I wondered if I would ever get to see this coin as the years gone by and around two years ago I came across a auction in England that had this very coin while searching the internet for Icelandic coins and I had missed it by only a fe
