My new TURKEYS have arived

This is the 2nd 100%%%% this week Friends I was overjoyed as I loaded the new coins in my Silver Eagle set. Pulling them up one by one out of their NGC boxes to download into the set. All the slabs in pristine condition as if nobody has ever touched them. Todd sure took great care of them. Even nicer than I thought! I've been looking for a nice example of the Type 1 1913 Nickel for a couple months. I passed up several on Teletrade because they were either out of my price range or I just didn't like the way they looked (I wanted a full-struck date, especially the leading "1"). Got another upgrade from Teletrade Good evening All, Just won another coin at Teletrade. Placed a bid on a 1989S ASE PF70UC. Did not really think I would get it as my bid was fairly low. I placed a bid on a Roosevelt dime in the last auction and figured I had a good chance at getting it. Waited and finally it turned out that I did not get it. Sometimes, when we are faced with a corporation, we tend to wonder, "I'm just one man, does my opinion matter to them?". For NGC that's certainly the case! Postman always rings twice (or three times?)

Tag, you're it! After playing a game of cat-and-mouse with the postman for the past 3 days, I finally received my Buffalo Nickel. As many of you know, Teletrade purchases are delivered with signature confirmation. While I really appreciate this peace of mind, sometimes it is difficult to get your items. Missing since Jan. 12 Greetings once again from IL. I guess I should explain my title. Loving my new 1976-D MS67 Clad Quarter There has always been something about the bicentennial quarters that caught my eye. As a kid, I would always pull them from circulation because they looked different. A Strategic Blunder

Or how I lost out on a good deal by failing to launch. I had a hundred dollars burning a hole in my pocket so I navigated over to Ebay and decided to pick up a Washington Carver half for my registry set. NGC grading in Poland..

Recent new arrivals gave me a pause to think about the grading... Originally I wanted to cover both arrivals and grading issues in this journal, but let's take it one step at a time. Here, in Poland we have only one authorized dealer, and with about ten thousand miles of red tape involved with sending coins 50 or more years old abroad by private person (company/institution is not so much bound in red tape...) it makes it impractical to make direct submission... Started a Registry Set I know that not to many people collect these, so I thought I would try to build a set with no grade lower than MS67. Who knows in 25 yrs. what they might be worth, gonna give them to my son(who is 28) and tell him no matter what he has to keep them at least 25 yrs. Started on the 21st of this month, so far I have the 79P Wide Rim,79D, 80P, 80D, 81P,99D and also got one of the 99P MS66PL(there's only 2). Hoping to have 10 of them by the end of March. The Thrill of 70 or the Agony of Declean.

Cleaned coins I recently sent in 4 coins all Washington Quarters (1932D, 1932S, 1932S, and 1936D). I suspected one coin of being cleaned but not all of them. All came back details graded. 3 XF details and 1 AU Details with 3 Improperly Cleaned and 1 OBV Scratch. Guess I need to learn how to spot a cleaned coin before I buy them and send them off to be graded. Any tips on spotting cleaned coins? I have a 30X21 loupe as well as a Dinolite Microscope and am waiting to get these back so I can

Registry Collecting - Expensive or Enjoyable?

Which E will it be... I'll be honest and say that when slabs first gained momentum I was a naysayer. I believed that the 10 MS grades were largely indistinguishable and that third party grading was just a way to get more money for especially key date coins and ultra grades. What I didn't realize was that buying raw coins without an "education" was and still is an official warrant to rip off.
