2008 American Buffalo 1st trike

Gold Got back from PCGS for coin grading ,hope 2008 buffalo coin got good grade and 1st trike, I did asked PCGS if the coin got from US Mint early but still not open and not send for grading how long it still count 1st trike ....WOW they said as long as not open box.......still good for 1st ...... any idea for coins to grading please share with me...smilesssssssss Have a nice weekend to all Oksalem

Exceedingly Happy!

Here's a picture of the coin that sent my Memorial Lincoln set to #13. The NGC coin pop for this coin is 23 in MS68 with only 3 in MS69 (good luck on finding one of those). What a great coin it is. It arrived in the mail today from one of the best ebay sellers out there, Telecoin. Received this coin in only 3 days, counting the day the auction ended and I paid!

GOLD RUSH

I finally did it! I actually won my first gold auction tonight. Hugh for me. My quest started a week ago by placing a single high bid for a 1992 1/10th $5 gold eagle. Within the first twelve hours of my initial bid, one person bid 3 times to raise the bid to almost half of what my max was. I thought to myself, "There is no way I am going to win this coin." I've Got Plaque!!

AND, the 2008 W's will be out very soon...... So, after a day of turmoil at work, and HOPING for a nice surprise when I finally arrived at home, I came across a package from UPS sitting on my doorstep addressed to me. I looked closer as I was fumbling with my work tool backpack, my GPS and trying to find the correct key to open the door, and saw the sender was NGC. Cracked the 100,000 registry points mark

Cracked the 100,000 registry points mark I just entered my 2008 Presidential dollar proofs, and am now above 100,000 registry points. Not bad since I only started collecting in September of 2007. Granted I have mostly modern coins, but I collect what I like. I am amazed by the distance between the #1 and #2 total registry points. #1 has over 4.3 million points, and #2 has only 1.1 million points. It seems that 'Gardner' is in a league of his own.

Skinny Chicken Story

local soap opera of eagles For those who have bought or love the "skinny cheickens"..this one's for you. The Eagle family that is shown on the new coins live in the Washington DC area--believe it or not there are lotsa bald eagles here.   Construction workers building the new Woodrow Wilson Bridge that spans from Maryland to Virginia on the Capital Beltway first noticed them. The 2 adult birds..nicknamed George and Martha...lived on Rosalie Island on the Maryland side of the river.

I love those so-called "Skinny Chickens"

They are ENDEARING Ok, I am going to go out on a limb, and so against the grain of the group feeling and admit that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Bald Eagle half dollar coins. "Skinny Chicken"

Received mine yesterday. The clad MS 50c piece that is. I guess I can see why most agree the baby eagles look like skinny chickens, but the Challenger eagle on the reverse is quite stunning in my opinion, especially with Old Glory whisping in the background. As for the silver dollar and gold $5 dollar, I haven't had the opportunity to have them in hand yet, but I don't really see the "skinny chicken" on those. I have SO been neglecting my coins!

MS67 James Monroe's arrived

I entered them in my collection today My MS67 James Monroe's Arrived today, it took a while they came from Fairbanks Alaska. Being PCGS coins, the points won't show up till tomorrow, but that's OK. We are still recovering form a weekend snow storm I live in north east Ohio, we had around 24" of snow. No way I could have done this without you all and my "kid" Many thanks to all of you for the tips in getting my pics.down to the right size. The task fell to my daughter who did a mass edit/resize via "photo shop". It seems as if the web site should offer some kind of automatic file converter to avoid this hassle. I am no expert by any means but from what I understand most all digital cameras are unable to take photos that small even with the multitude of settings they are equipped with
