Victory at last!

I have it! Last week VUMC409 noticed that I was going to try and build a set of Australian Lunar dollars in MS69. Since he wanted to sell several 69s that he had after upgrading to 70s he offered the coins to me. Being the great guy that he is, he gave me a really great offer for buying all 6 of the coins that he had. What he didn't know was just how good the timing of this was for me. I had actually been thinking about buying 2 coins for that set (1 of which was among what he was offering)

Just don't anybody tell me wife... Packed up another submission. It seems like I've got an overabundance of raw coins that are decent grading candidates. Too many for my own good, I think. the silver melt is on A few thoughts on Silver coins and the results of this second round of melt fever. Back in the early 1980?s (?) the Hunt brothers tried to corner the silver market and the result was one of the most drastic rushes to melt silver coins that we have seen since the civil war. I finally made it! I finally made it to 10,000 registry points! Yay! This is one of those nice landmarks. I also just achieved an all time high in the overall rankings. Over half of my points are concentrated in 4 sets (Silver Eagles, Prez Dollars, Lincoln Cents, Statehood Quarters) with over 1000 points each but I have other up and coming sets.

I Robbed my "Batman Bank" and Found it is Very hard to Spend Coins

WOW!! I Just Won The Lottery

I Finally hit the jackpot with this coin The NGC gods finnaly came through for me. I just recieved my last submission back from NGC today. Most came back pretty much as expected, BUT WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE? A little gift. There could be no better grade for this coin. The results are in on two of my four invoices!

Overall, I don't think that I've done too bad. Of the twelve coins on the two invoices, two of the coins were body bagged and of the other ten The high lights are; a 1962 franklin half,with some nice toning, that graded Proof-67 Cameo. a 1956 Washington Quarter that graded Proof-67* (My first Star!) I had a 1967 SMS Kennedy that I thought would get a Cameo for sure but it got body bagged instead for being scratched. Oh Well. The other four weighed in at rather unspectacular Proof 66's o

Misunderstood

Let me try to set the record straight.. After reading some of the journal entries in response to my 'Points, points, may I make a point?' I had to go back and read my journal entry again. No where in my entry could I find where I was discrediting a set with only one coin (every set starts with one coin!) I Think That I've Found A True Rarity !!!

One left.

Just 1 left before the set is complete. Even though I really probably shouldn't have (I've bought way too much lately) I saw a 2000 Millenium Set MS69 Silver Eagle going for a pretty nice price and I decided to go for it. Now I have 23 coins in the set, with the 1994 and the 2000 MS coins ordered. The only one left is the 1996 coin and then the set will be complete. Subdivided Registry

Getting 1 registry account to represent 2 different (separate?) groups of coins. When I originally joined the registry I was joining just for my own fun and to list my own coins. I started with 1 set, my eagles. My registry grew to contain 17 sets. Only 3 of which are anywhere near finished but almost all of them are sets I hope to one day complete. and HEY NGC....whats up with my stuff?? I am missing a few of the early 1980's commemorative coins and yesterday I reduced that number by 1! Looking for a little help from all the poeple who are in the know!

What can I expect from the registry awards. Being new to the registries, I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me about the registry awards. If a person has a "best in catigory" award symbol next to their set, do they recieve a plaque or certificate from NGC too? Or is it just the little ribbon beside their set, that they get?
