Need help on ID of a Morgan Dollar
Hi Community,
I have a couple of Morgan Dollars that I think might be unique. The dates are 1890 & 1891. I would guess them to be around MS58-60. So far no big mystery, but this is where it gets interesting. They are in a plastic holder, the "clasp" type like for cards ect. The interesting thing is that they are labelled as follows:
From the Million Silver Dollar display at the Seattle World's Fair!
Do any of you "Morganites" (hope no one got pissed
I found this a Very-Awesome-Review from:( by: mintex03). I wanted to share this to anyone that is thinking of collecting in this Series. This is a great guide from him, he has covered a large area of this Series, an' hope you will enjoy reading it.

Blast Red
Wow, once again I was able to pick up and add another top population Lincoln Memorial Cent to my registry set. I paid 66% under list price for this coin. I don't know if this is due to the market or if only a few of us were watching this coin when it came up for sale. Will be adding more to all my Lincoln Sets as I get them in and I hope you enjoy the pictures. As always, thanks for looking. Have a great day.
20th Anniversary!
I have long wanted this coin , although I dont collect all of the Silver Eagle's (just yet) , I have just recently became able to purchase a coin like this one and would like some feedback on what a fair price for it would be. Now I already know that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay, its that I just dont want to pay 600 bucks for a 400 dollar coin, I know that it list for like 650, but I havent been watching this coin for months and dont know if its slid
I have been enlightened by Jackson
Jackson has pointed out that the entry date of a coin can also be the date that the system updated the coins value/points. Not an anomaly just how the Registry System operates. Makes perfect sense to me.
Thanks, Jackson
Obscured Sets
Why bother joining a registry whether it is PCGS or NGC and obscure your set? I consider the registry as a community of hobbyist and want to be part of it. If it is for accounting reasons they could use an excel spreadsheet. Or is it fear of exposing their valuable coins?
I understand that not everyone is a photographer and do not have the time or equipment. There are several great photographers as members of the Collector Society who charge a nominal fee to image your collecti
One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind and no commemorative from the US Mint.
40 years ago today seemed larger than life to me. As an eleven-year-old boy, I remember exactly where I was at the pinnacle of what was perhaps mankind?s greatest technological triumph. At a carnival picnic sponsored by my father?s employer on July 20, 1969, I heard an announcement over the loud speaker that we had landed on the moon. The reaction to the news on that warm summer afternoon was a rousing ch
You should have your coins photographed by NGC
Well, I have been holding this story in for awhile and thought I would share it with you all. About 2 years ago, I sent in some Morgan dollars to NCS for conservation work and NGC for grading. I got back all of my coins in mint state except for an 1880-P which I got back as an AU58. I was floored. When I compared them to the other graded coins I had, the coin looked just as good as the others, if not better. I was disappointed in the grade an
Hey....I'm only showing you what's out there for sale.
Hello everyone!
I knew someone would destroy the myth about the 2009 "collector", W mint, American Silver Eagles.
I guess if you play with a few items in PhotoShop you wind up with a winner.
I received another new catalog with this coin for sale.
If I had enough money to sue them, I'd be on it.
Someone order a few and you'll own a big company as the dust settles?
I just thought you all might like to see what we're missing.

Is it a MORGAN? Is it a CHAPMAN? NO it's a ZERBE
Friends; When I started collecting morgan dollars I purchased a lot of coins I did not need due to my uneducated coin mentality. Since then I have sold all of the worse ones but I still have one that puzzles me because I don't understand it. I believe the Zerbe R. simply means some type of VAM . Do you have any clue?
Something to consider? Would they compete or build on each other?
I?ve been playing around with an idea recently. I wonder if it?s really possible to have more than one hobby.
Most of us aren?t and probably never will be super rich. Our hobbies have to compete with the rest of our lives for our time, money, and energy. Two hobbies would invariably end up fighting with each other for the same limited set of resources. It seems reasonable that both would suffer as a result.
I?ve had several

Well the choice was made BY MY WIFE
Friends; It was a week of mental breaking stress. I have a new job coming at $25 hour and my truck is broke down with no warranty. I still have an old blazer (HOBBY) with a $10K Drive-train. The job will start in around 2 weeks but I have been out of work for 5 months. So I still owe taxes and have 1 high credit card. We have done O-K living off of ungraded coin auctions and small side jobs. But I know the I_R_S will be beating on the door soon and I would l
Starting over.
I have deleted all (and I meal all) of my coins, sets, commeratives from my listing. I think it is time to relist select coins and sets.
Summer semester winding down....no moon landing commem?
Greetings!!
Hope everyone has been well and are having a great summer.
I have been busy with working full time and completing my college summer semester courses 3/4 time, so as you can expect, my days and nights have been running together for the past 3 months. I have found a new kind of "tired" lately, but some excellent sleep has resulted from all of this.
I am about 2-3 weeks away from completing my summer semester and it fe
1894-O Half Eagle
The 1894-O Half Eagle with a low mintage of 16,600 has arrived! It is nicer than the photo in the ad, IMO, and may have upgrade potential. It is graded AU55 and resides in a PCGS old green holder.
Below is an image I made of the coin.
YA GOT TO LOVE IT
I submitted 5 of my raw key dates out of my my collection books, using my free coupon. I had mentioned in passing that I was looking for a nice AU 1931s lincoln cent to a shop owner a while back for my 09-40 book. He told me that he had just purchased a nice collection that had a Au 31s in it and if I wanted it I could have it for 20% back of bid. I looked at it agreed that it was a nice AU and bought it. Some time later when I was looking over what I had to send in I picked
Full Red
Here is another nice Lincoln that I just recently purchased and added to my set. I have been fortunate enough to recently start adding to all my Lincoln Sets and they are the coins I have the most passion for as it is what I originally started collecting over 45 years ago at the flea markets. Thanks for looking
Looked at a nice truck yesterday. HMMM
Friends; Well I fell a little overboard when I checked out a new F350 Club Cab 4X4 yesterday. The price was around $56,000 witch is pretty unreasonable but the dealer is going to work it down (of course since I must have been the only looker there).
Well I get home and Heritage Auctions calls me and wants my set for the A N A show next month ( so did everyone else ). We talked a while "me & Bob Marino" the best consignment fees were 7.5%. Now I c

new to all this, internet, stuff. can anyone give me pointers on how to best start getting my books graded? according to this sight, unless i pay, there are no "certified" dealers for me to drop my books off to get them certified, way out here in bum-fugde Montucky(montana for you none red neck speaking saps) sure i'll find something soner or later. being in the

one person wrote about his down side of www.ebid.net . That many people are not there. The truth is,it starts with all of us.Everyone here has nice certified coins. If we all descided to go there for buying and selling for 6 months and spread the word.It will take off like wildfire.I know all the coins I put up,I may get a little more on e-bay,but the fees are insane.Humans are a creature of habbit. We like to keep going back to the same old routine. It is almost like buying a beep
MS68-Yes I said it
Wow, I was fortunate enough to acquire this 1982 Small Date Zinc NGC MS68 recently for my Memorial Collection. I have recently been concentrating on upgrading all of my Lincoln Sets and saw this one for sale. Very low population of 18. I hope you enjoy the pictures and thanks for looking.
