  1. I don't want to take away from your wonderful news but I would be surprised that they are doing it for free if you are not the original one who summited it for grading?
  2. It is not worth anything but the fact that you found it . Nice find Shawn
  3. I am heading into Nashville today I may stop at the Coin Purse and see what they have in stock. They are the biggest shop I have seen in this area. Maybe I will get lucky and find some new stuff.
  4. I have to agree do not spend anything on these just keep them as is, maybe a nice flip to keep them from more damage.
  5. It is a great looking coin. What does the holder look like ? I see a blue looking background
  6. You have it Woods, As I have said before the real deal is the who not the what. I have two or three go to dealers and they care about what they do. You will always be the tops because you have the passion for it.
  7. I have to agree with the other members. There would be no reason for them to do something like that. Only grief and aggravation would come from it....................
  8. Ya the guy that gave me the coin has been a dealer for a while I have got quite a bit of stuff from him. He is like me, We both laugh at the MS 70 is way off base but I will use it to show people what you don't want to buy.
  9. It is a nice coin I do like the Eagles. It is not easy to find them without some kind of mark on them . Most dealers do not handle them like they are a coin for collecting? I find that discouraging.
  10. Ya tj96 I like them also. I use the little blue Whitman books. It is hard to find good MS examples plus there are so many types 16 if you include the proofs of this set it is a killer for the registry set.
  11. Well not really a nice coin. This SGS grade is way to high. A nice gesture as a present. If I were to grade this coin it would not make it. I took some close up shots. It has contact marks and a struck through grease mark on the reverse.
  12. Well that's not nice. It looks a little scratchy on the reverse. I would not say cleaned but I am not holding it . Sorry for your loss.
  13. I stopped by my local Antique Dealer / Coin dealer today and we were chatting about Morgan's and other coins. One of the girls asked if I wanted some cake it was her birthday. I wished her a Happy birthday and mentioned that I just had one last week myself. Well the dealer heard me say that and gave me this 2004 SGS MS 70. We both know it is not what it says it is and laughed a bit. He knows I collect Nickels and also knows he will never sell it for what it is labeled. I thought it was a very nice gift anyway.
  14. Well there ya go someone is not saying the truth. Imagine that
  15. Sorry Susan, I have to agree with the others it is a great example of MD, I think I have a few of these on hand to show others how it looks.
  16. Well I would not buy a triple strike coin from them again. Say what???. If that coin was struck 3 times at the mint with a cap die it would look a whole lot different then it does now.
  17. Well no big nickel purchase's last week. Sometimes it is hard to find FS coins in my Cheap Old Man price range I did find one nice 1959 MS 65 FS to add to the list at my price range.
  18. Well if you could back it up a bit or refocus. Please shoot the whole coin on both sides. It is to fuzzy to see anything and it makes a difference what the whole coin looks like also. You could have a real great find on something but if the coin is a mess it is only worth whatever someone will pay for it. Even the comment you posted from the cherry pickers book has questions about the MM. I do want to say I love a good hunt keep looking Keith.
  19. Did you get a roll of 54 S Cents, Hinkle ?
  20. It is a Nice scale . I would look at the bright side and say in reality all your over weight ASE's have more metal so they are worth more money.
