That was my first thought, usually when there is a missing number or letter,
it is caused by a Grease Filled Die

Looks like someone has fried to clean it.
A damaged coin not worth much above bullion now.

The first one looks normal and the other two are from various stages of die polishing.

You don’t give much information as to date and condition but as JKK stated most unless a high grade are only worth $1.00. Where did you get that information from?

I take it you are referring to picture #3, gets confusing with all the pictures.
If that is the case, then it looks to me that the markings are raised which means that it would be glue or some like substance on the coin. Try giving it an Acetone bath for 24 hrs and see if that will remove it .

Possibly been spooned. In any case no matter what caused it, it is PMD

Someone probably wants it for a lowball set.
PO-1 is the lowest grade in a coin.

Nice offset. It is always better when you can make out the date.

Another big difference between Etsy and eBay is that eBay will remove counterfeits, misrepresented coins and raw coins listed over $2500.00. They don’t catch them all but at least they try. Etsy is not all interested in removing anything. There theory is let the buyer beware. This is why most of the counterfeiters and overpriced coin sellers list on Etsy

    Welcome to the Forum
As mentioned, just damage, not an error, the fact that the copy is in reverse tells you that it is what is known as a vise job.

    Not a Dryer Coin.
As Conder101 stated, it has been ground down on both sides. Have seen quite a few of these lately, nearly all done intentionally.

It is a defect that occurs on the planchet before the coin is struck.
