One of these days, with your permission, of course, I would like to make a trip up there to see these beauties of yours.

And the wife is so happy she's telling me I can bid on things when I'm currently out of spending money/coin¬e budget. 🤣
Can you get that in writing?

Because the coin he strikes is struck on an original monetized coins the "fantasy" coin is not a counterfeit but a genuine coin that has been modified, i.e. Hobo Nickels. So the Peace dollar that you hold was made on a genuine Peace dollar and can therefore be argued to be a altered U.S. coin.
John
Are you saying that this peace dollar is legal tender, and can be used lawfully in a transaction, or taken to the bank to be exchanged for paper money or coin, or to be deposited - the same as if it were a presidential dollar with post mint damage?

I am sorry for the loss of your friend. It sounds like he was a wonderful guy. I hope you will be able to pass along the knowledge that you gained from him.

Apparently, the spambots are searching for posts with keywords like "student loan," or "payoff," so I guess these stupid spam posts are inevitable.

I have coins that have PVC related issues that it is hard NOT to drop them into acetone to remove and stop the destruction. But then would that be "cleaning"?!?
In my opinion, no, it would not be cleaning. It would be conservation.
I collect Three Stooges memorabilia.

You did a good job with the photography.
Can't beat the provenance, either.

When dealing with the public, run-ins like this are inevitable. Hopefully, they are few, and far between.

The blue/brown color of that Farthing looks great. Super nice example.

Yes,. it is certainly mislabeled. So obvious a mistake by NGC should leave them on the hook for the price difference between a 1976 in MS68 and a 1976-S in PF68 cameo...
I believe that applies to coins that are over graded, and not to labeling errors, which this obviously is.

They will be treated as raw coins, since NGC only crosses PCGS coins. Whether there is any benefit in leaving them in the slab is a matter of opinion. Some think it gives the submitter an advantage, others feel the opposite.

Hang in there, Buddy.
I hope your businesses do well. Coins will be here when you get ready to come back to them. In the mean time, keep in touch.

Ben really has grown! He doesn't even look like the same boy.

I hope everything is okay with the little guy.
Have you ever tried Wizard Coin Supply?

I had no idea, Rick. I am very sorry to hear that.

You can't go back and undo or redo things in your life, so make decisions about the really important things, family especially, with lots of careful thought. "Work" will always be there. Your children will not.

But the new 57 is in incredible condition and it will not surprise me if it gets a MS66 . and the other coins I got after the last submission is a 1959 5 Aurar and again the last one only got a 63 but this one should get a least a 65
You nailed the grades on these two in your prediction. Just curious: what grades did you have in mind for the 1970 Krona that scored a 64, and the '74 50 Aurar that got an MS68?
