Nice grade, nice coin, lovely denticles. Strong reverse! 💪
I have had my eye on this coin for a while. Some of the best seller pics on the bay in my opinion.

Looks pretty good to me. I would give it 6FS.

Well I bit the bullet and brought them home. Here are a few of them and a smattering of various versions of holders through the years. I have a lot to organize but it’s a good problem to have. I had planned to heading to the ANA show this weekend, but no use now haha. I canceled that flight to come home and play with my new toys.
I see a sore neck and tired eyes in your future. Congrats on the new haul.

I knew I recognized that. We had an Aladdins Castle in our mall here in town back in the day.

The Lincoln bust looks like a cross between Ronald McDonnald and Grover from Sesame Street.

As much as it hurt to let that other one go, I think I’m ok with this one. Apparently I am also starting a toner Washington set. I’ll never complete anything.

I tried to check it out but I missed it. It has been removed. Must have been pretty bad
Yea this thread doesn’t make much sense if you didn’t see the auction. Basically you had a very circulated raw nickel with possible corrosion being labeled as a NGC MS-655FS coin. Clearly it was neither mint state or encapsulated. Maybe the D mint mark was a little off. Starting bid of $500. It needed to be removed.

The entire late 1950’s to early 1960’s range is pretty unimpressive.
Agreed.

Both the Philly and Denver nickels in 1960 were poorly struck as a whole. Good examples are hard to find. Full step coins are very rare. I believe NGC shows only 9 graded FS coins from Philly and 0 from Denver across all grades. I would say your coins are probably UNC.

Thank you sir. My collection has branched out all over the place here lately. I just pick up what appeals to me. There is no rhyme or reason anymore.![(shrug) (shrug)](//content.invisioncic.com/r266626/emoticons/confused-smiley-013.gif.2fdadf84da200a1dc7bd2aa1b4444757.gif)
