  1. I don’t think it was that much trouble for the seller. I caught it pretty quick. The item hadn’t shipped yet. They didn’t even print a label. They were pretty good about the whole thing. I moved in 2018. My address has been the same for 6 years and all of the sudden it reverts back to my previous residence? Ebay had a fairly substantial update and a few things have changed on the site. I figured it probably had something to do with that. I talked to a friend and the same thing happened with his account. There has to be many more that experienced this. Maybe they just don’t know it yet. It is what it is. Hopefully they will list it again soon.
  2. No. Had to cancel the order to keep them from sending it to the other address. I told them about the issue and they said that they HAD to send it to the address listed even after I told them it was the wrong one. The coin was supposed to be re-listed and I was going to buy it again. Haven’t seen it yet.
  3. Congratulations on your illustrious career and my condolences on your passing.
  4. Just wanting to warn anyone with an ebay account that within the past week or so your shipping address may have defaulted to a prior address if you have an old one on file. I would immediately check your info and make sure any purchases you have made within the last week are going to the correct address. I am not the only person this has happened to. What a disaster.
  5. This is bad information. I wouldn’t trust anything else from this source.
  6. Yes it is. https://www.coinworld.com/news/precious-metals/missed-opportunities-1995-w-silver-eagle-a-stopper.html
  7. That is awesome brother. Congrats. I see that the 2024 slot is being filled with the 2022. I saw that on other sets as well. Must be a glitch.
  8. It has quite a bit of history and general information in the first half of the book. There is also info for each year of coins from 38 to early 90s. It’s a good read for any nickel collector. I use the other book for more modern issues that are not in Nagengasts book. Here are a few examples from the book. I included the info for your 42D. Nice piece by the way.
  9. jeffersonnickel.org is a pretty good resource for general information. I would recommend these two books if you want to take a deeper dive.
  10. It’s not my coin but it is in a straight grade holder at a 66.
  11. I would say no. Nice enough piece for an album. What is the weight?
  12. Before you make your final decision on toning, might I suggest a little 5 cent thread in the US forum. You seem to like nickels so what’s it going to hurt to take a peek? If you don’t find something that happens to catch your eye in there then maybe toning isn’t for you. By the way, I agree that the coins above are no bueno.
  13. My newest add and a slight upgrade to the 43P slot in my main set.
  14. A toned coin is good when you find it attractive. If you like this one better than the current one in your Dansco then go ahead and swap it out. It is your collection. Do whatever makes you happy.
