Greenstang got a reaction from JT2 in Fake?
Yes, it is not even close to being genuine.
Did you compare to a picture of a genuine coin?

Greenstang got a reaction from Coinbuf in 1952 D Lincoln Wheat Penny
What you have is a small die crack, you can see it running up the side of the wheat stalk.
Not really big enough to add any extra value though.

Greenstang got a reaction from GoldFinger1969 in Wanted to see if it's worth anything
Welcome to the forum.
What makes you think that is worth more than 10 cents?
There were over 376 million struck so they aren’t rare.
When making inquires, always show both sides of the coin and
explain your reason for asking, this way we are not guessing.

Greenstang got a reaction from Coinbuf in Opinion on this coin
Agree
Just something that was stuck on the coin. Doesn’t really matter what as it didn’t leave the mint looking like that
-
Greenstang got a reaction from Coinbuf in 1969 Philadelphia/ strike though cloth material/ Reverse
Looks to me like there is some sort of substance on it.
If it was struck through, it would be concuse, yours appears raised.

Greenstang got a reaction from Lem E in Post your 5 cent pieces.
Two types of 1942 Canadian Nickels
The first half of 1942 produced the regular 100% nickel 5 cent coins. Part way through in order to preserve nickel for the war effort, they switched to Tombac (a form of brass). The twelve sides was to avoid confusion with copper cents. Tombac 5 cent coins were produced in 1942 and 1943.

Greenstang got a reaction from Henri Charriere in 2022 D Maya Angelou Quarter question
The weight tolerance on the clad quarters is .227 which means that it could fall antwhere between 4.44 and 5.89.

Greenstang got a reaction from Mike Meenderink in 2022 P Quarter Error Wilma Mankiller? Im not sure.
What kind of quartet are you in?
-
Greenstang got a reaction from Catatonic1 in What type of Error
There is a small die chip between the B and I, also die chips are not considered errors.
I see no sign of a DD but if there was one, it would be a variety, not an error.

Great find, this is the third one that I have seen posted.
Definitly an error, as stated, retained cud with a bi-level die crack.
Where did you get it?
Almost forgot
Welcome to the forum and great closeup pictures.

Greenstang got a reaction from Sandon in 1877s trade dollar ... error??
Coinbuf beat me to it but I was just going to say the same thing, counterfeit.
Besides having that cast look, the reverse is wrong. There are two types of
reverses on Trade Dollars and that is neither one of them. Looks like a
combination of both types.
If you bought it, hope that you did not pay too much.

Quite the Die Crack. Almost runs rim to rim.

It is a “D” mintmark with a broken post that has been damaged.
Nothing of any extra value.
Nice closeup photo, just what we need to see all the details.

Greenstang got a reaction from DurfDuck in Occluded Gas Bubble?
Welcome to the Chat Board
As stated, an occulated gas bubble can only occur on a solid alloy coin, mostly on Lincoln Cents.
What you have is caused by heat and have the nickname Campfire Coins.
We see these quit often on the various coin forums so they are not unusual.
-
Greenstang got a reaction from J P M in 1991 D Jefferson Nickel Reverse Issue
Certainly not a mint error. It looks like it has glue on it as you can see through it.
Try soaking in acetone for about 24 hours and see if it comes off.
