New to coin collecting- been doing research but I don't know if this is considered die chip error or double die error?

Minor die chip of no special value.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I also see a die chip between I and B in LIBERTY. As for an instance of doubling, I see a more sloped like secondary image that is not at the same level as the primary image so I would say it is minor mechanical doubling. Neither of these conditions on this coin would give it any additional premium.

@Coinbufplease look at his coin. DDO? SHELF , MD? It looks doubled die to me. But to be sure I'd like it in hand. Tell me? LIBERTY,  QUART show serifs and north shift.

It all looks like standard strike/mechanical doubling, I'm not seeing any split serfs and as @powermad5000 mentioned it appears to be shallower and shelf like vs the primary lettering.   The lighting is harsh so maybe in hand it presents differently, but from what I see just MD.
