Cams
New to coin collecting- been doing research but I don't know if this is considered die chip error or double die error?
Greenstang
There is a small die chip between the B and I, also die chips are not considered errors. I see no sign of a DD but if there was one, it would be a variety, not an error. Catatonic1 and Cams
EagleRJO
It does look like the coin has a die chip at "Liberty", not a doubled die. You can find out more about these at the following sites ... https://www.error-ref.com/ https://doubleddie.com/ Cams and Catatonic1
Mike Meenderink
@Coinbufplease look at his coin. DDO? SHELF , MD? It looks doubled die to me. But to be sure I'd like it in hand. Tell me? LIBERTY, QUART show serifs and north shift. Edited February 3 by Mike Meenderink Spelling Cams
RWB
Minor die chip of no special value. Please stay away from the U-Tube videos. You'll learn much more by asking questions here. Cams
powermad5000
Hello and welcome to the forum! I also see a die chip between I and B in LIBERTY. As for an instance of doubling, I see a more sloped like secondary image that is not at the same level as the primary image so I would say it is minor mechanical doubling. Neither of these conditions on this coin would give it any additional premium.

It all looks like standard strike/mechanical doubling, I'm not seeing any split serfs and as @powermad5000 mentioned it appears to be shallower and shelf like vs the primary lettering. The lighting is harsh so maybe in hand it presents differently, but from what I see just MD. Mike Meenderink
