registry low point for graded wheat

wheat registry set low points i just get 5 of my wheat back from ngc 4 of them get graded and 1 get detail label (no surprise there) but when i added them too my set i found the 1912S AU details rev corrosion add 2 points and 1910S AU55, 1915S F15, 1923S XF40, 1931S XF40 added 3 points each, i d'ont understand. My first Heritage Auction

MS68 1999-D Susan B. Anthony I was lucky enough to win the auction on Sunday at $120.00 or a total of $146 with fees and shipping. This will get my set up to #8 in the Registry. Not sure if I will get any higher than that, am working on some upgrades in my "Ike" set. First Submission Results

How can you tell if a coin is improperly cleaned? I had 10 coins that I had submitted for grading, and had my coins looked over thoroughly, and had 4 out of the 10 come back with improper cleaning. (I didn't clean them, I bought them because they were in great shape and the price was right.) The price matched what was right with NGC, so I had them checked and sent them in. The 10 coins I sent in for my first submission were an 1806 Bust half (Which came back as VG8), an 1817, 1818, and a 1

Coins that have been cleaned or that have some minor corrosion, should they all be overlooked? over the past 6 months or so, i picked up a couple of the more valuable I.H. pennies such as the 1870, 1871, and 1873 "closed 3". These coins were bought with minor corrossion on them, but i got them at 1/3 of the price at which they were worth, plus they were all XF, easy. The 1864 with L, has VERY MINOR corrosion. These coins are all still very GREAT coins and the corrodded spots are mostly around

Congress To Stop The US Presidential Dollar Series

If the Presidential Dollars Series Stop what happens to the vaule? Coin News on July 15th reported that a? California Congresswoman is planning to introduce a bill to immediately halt production of dollar coins. I have not seen the exact language of the bill, but this would seem to immediately end the Presidential and Native American Dollars series, and by extension the First Spouse Gold Coin series.? Does Every Year have a 1922 Plain??

Some speculation after reading the new edition of Volume 1, Cherry Picker's Guide. According to the Cherry Picker's Guide, there are three recognized version of the No D cent. Types 1 and 3 are probably the result of heavy die polishing or filled mintmark, Type 2 appears to truly be a coin that never had the mintmark stamped into the field. What if NGC placed a point premium of Early Releases? Hi everyone, This past weekend Moondoggy sent me an email to go and check out the points assigned for the 2011 Proof SAE in the registry. 1791 Conder Token

The horse-theme set breaks into new territory Last week I was browsing listing on the BAY and came across an absolutely beautiful chocolate-brown token from 1791 Yorkshire that I just couldn't pass up. This is a common Conder Token, with 5 tons estimated to have been struck. There are trifling variations in the dies used for this token, and there are also several mules. my 1st 16D merc! I just sent my new 1916 D mercury dime off to be certified. It will definetly come back "details" as it has some obverse damage. It appears to be from an old fashioned coin machine of some kind. I was told the damage was from when the machine is full you would use a screw to push the dimes down, to get your 5 dollars. The damage is of a circle that looks as if made from a screw. Anyway. i got it for a good price and the dime is got to be at least XF-AU details! i would guess l

When a lower graded die variety is worth more registry points than a higher graded die variety

NGC MS67RD 1998 Wide AM Lincoln Memorial Hi everyone. My latest addition to my 1959-Present Lincoln Memorial Set is a NGC MS67RD 1998 Wide AM. The registry point value in this grade is 351 with a population of 30 with none graded higher. This same coin graded in MS69RD without the Wide AM is worth only 288 with a population of 7 with none higher. The Lincoln Memorial has a few years that they designated as Wide AM variety such as the 1992, 1998, 1999 and 2000. They call it that due to the

A New FT Roosevelt, Expanding My Registry Sets and Getting Ready to Set New Collecting Goals

Or how I?m spending my summer vacation. Well, my $5.00 dime set is continuing to grow. I?m up a coin count of 7 now. I even managed to pick up another FT for the set, 2007 SMS MS67FT. Another SMS Set, Or Maybe the Original One

The SMS coins have always sounded so exclusive to me that I can't stay away from them. This is one of my more successful attempts to date. My First Heritage Auction

It may seem strange, but the 7/3/11 internet auction is my first with Heritage Auctions. Most people are creatures of habit, as they lean towards the familiar and shy away from the unfamiliar. My thoughts on Teletrade and Heritage.

cant find a home On Fridays my wife and a I hit a few garage sales, flea Markets and today we went to the local pawn shop to look around to see whats new. well I found 2 items a tool box and a MS60 1923s Peace Dollar well I bought both items but the Poor Peace dollar was graded by a differnt grading service it was a fair price comparing to the FMV. Should I Send My 5 Ounce ATB's In For Grading?

I love the look of Numismatic 5oz ATB's from the Mints. Do I send them out and hope for 70's or not. I just stated to collect coins. I have four of five 2010 Numismatic collectible US Mint American the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncalculated Coins and One PCGS MS64 2010 US Mint Hot Springs Five Ounce Silver. 10 coins submitted to be graded! I sent 10 coins in for my first submission on Jun 13 of this year and I am sitting on pins and needles awaiting their return to find out exactly what they were graded at. I sent an 1806 Bust half, an 1817, 1818, and a 1830 Capped bust, a 1941 and 1946 Walking Liberty halves, a 1941 and 1946 Washington quarters, a 1941 Mercury dime, and a 1946 Roosevelt dime.
