Bring on the gold

Now I'm moving into sets. I have now added a few sets of gold all MS 70's I think I am going to shoot for some sort of set award. So I will add them in as soon as I can get them all in. Four sets of gold, the $50, $25, $10 and $5, of 2001, 2002, 2003, & 2008 to get me started. Some PCGS and some NGC. Pedigreed Coin Addition 1846 O $10 XF40

Adding a collection to my collection A Pittman I have been lured in again by a pedigreed coin. This one is of lower grade, but still a georgeous coin and I hope to get the picture added in soon. My other computer is down,and it is how I add pictures so give me time. I now have two $10 Libs and love 'em. End of an Era....Beginning of a new adventure!

Hello Collector's Society, been a little while since my last journal. It's been a time spent in turmoil after coming across some great silver Roosevelts. What I've been debating is the future of my collection, as I've lost most all interest in moderns for collecting. I still thoroughly enjoy the grading process and probably won't quite that part, but the clad dimes have lost their "luster" so to speak... T minus 2 and counting

And then off to Baltimore and the "Show" No doubt, year in and year out heading down to Baltimore and the Whitman show in mid March is my favorite weekend of the year. To start with, the temperature is usually about 10 degrees warmer than Northern New Jersey, and my first glimpse of spring weather. Combine that with Coins, great food and drink what is not to like? 75% and counting!

I might actually finish this set! I have been working on my 32-64 Washington quarter set for a few years now,hoping to finish maybe in the next year or so.I recently added a 1942S in MS66,bringing the set to 75% complete. As there are fewer coins now that I need to finish this set,it is increasingly harder to save my limited budget and not buy other coins that interest me!Oh well I am only human. I would also like to thank everyone who takes the time to view my sets,it means alot to me!

FEBUARY Top Pops at least for me...

As I stated in an earlier post I subbitted 117 coins to NGC for grading last month. Hello my Fellow collectors I hope this note finds you all in good health and high spirits. As I have stated in a post last month I subbitted 117 coins last month and I thought a few of you might want to see what I think were the highlights of those subbittions. NGC set is complete! About two years ago I decided to split my Franklin half dollar set by grading service. The criteria for Full Bell Lines is quite different at PCGS compared to NGC. Other than the 1953-S, my objective was to complete a NGC set in MS-64 FBL or better (the 53-S is virtually unobtainable in FBL). Last week, the last one appeared on ebay - a 1962-P in MS-64FBL. So Close!

... but just a half step too late! Just back from a show in Ft Worth... met some familiar faces, and a few new ones. It was a great show, and picked up a few choice items for my collection and the site. NGC Registry Points

Points given are incorrect? I just entered my new presidential dollars to my competetive set and the registry only gave me 1 point (instead of 980) for each coin. I have descriptions and pictures included with the additions and I do not understand the problem. Has anyone had this happen before, and if yes, how was it reconciled. What I found on Freemansburg Ave.

A simple collector who lives on a simple road, with coins all but simple. Last Friday I traveled 100 miles to meet with a collector who sold me his definition of simplistics. Alittle help from my friends

Need to find the right refrence book Good afternoon my fellow collectors, I am in need of a good book that will teach me how to know the differance between a reg. coin and a coin with the varerties such as DDR FS-801. A case of the Mondays

With a silver lining We were wondering today if there was an extra full moon out. Our clients have been extra crazy today, so to speak. A few minutes ago, we had a client ask for some rolls of coin for their business. As I was about to hand him 4 rolls of dimes, I see a Mercury Dime reverse staring at me!
