  1. eBay sold listings. Mixed with eBay for sale /auctions. Ngc very important to get an upper idea. Same as pcgs. Google search. Finally. The bigger auction houses allow you to look and prices realized as well as current offerings can really help. I am not a big player and so far have never won an item from them but there’s lots of info available. Collect what you like 😉
  2. Family is such an important value to teach. Leave them right where they are. The history as is is far more interesting and important. Perhaps a letter by you telling the story. Frame it all up or get pictures and frame them with the letters. Keep the coins in the safe. I get worked up when I see an opportunity to pass on the legacy and family history. JZ 😉
  3. Here’s what I could find. I fear this time may be worse. So sad 😞
  4. It’s ok boss fell asleep again. So for now,I’m busy Perhaps another time 🙀
  5. So Mr. Mohawk. My owner is napping,as usual, and I see you have fish tanks. I would like to offer my services for a very reasonable price. I will scrub your tank and ah, let me put this the correct way, appropriately level out the overcrowding conditions. Oops, got to go,grandpa is stirring 🙀. Get in touch!
  6. Hogshead. Good to hear from you. We have a few more in the area. JP. Glad you and yours are good. Crazy stuff guys. 🙏
  7. Been known to happen way up here in the Rocky Mountains 😉 Now that’s just a rumor, I’m saying 👍🏼
  8. I use everything I can but my go to is searching eBay.
  9. Howdy. I came up against the “flying eagle “ problem. I had to have one. Without the means to buy one. Wrong. Check this out. Sure it’s a reproduction but what a reproduction. $32 Graded! I bought d.Carr’s , in association with Grove Mint- 55 dd. $25 So awesome it makes me dizzy. How about some pictures. These really filled the gap for me, as in hand beats the heck out of pictures.
  10. 1. Looks like the classic “staple scratch “ we preach on folding them flat !! 2. I’ve got several with the same names. “ What the heck was I thinking ? 😂”
  11. Good God! Oh my friends in the area. Please post and let us know if you are ok or need anything. 🙏 James
  12. Welcome Morgans are lovely. Good collectible series. Problem is there are a lot! Of varieties and fakes Not to mention the arguments about grade, conditions etc. I highly suggest you study study study before entering the world of Morgan’s. This is a very good place to come with questions. NGC and PCGS have a lot of material available. It can be a great series but there’s a bunch to know to avoid a train wreck. Best practice grading or learn the websites about grading. I’ll leave with this thought. Buy what you like, buy the coin not the holder. ( coins can turn ( spots or tarnish) while being slabbed That’s a lot to think about. Good luck JZ 😉
  13. Very cool. Congratulations got to love a winner! Grease does make some cool things happen to coins 😉
  14. Show me $100. These are about 5 seconds old, off eBay. 😉 Love the discussion, keep it real 😉🙀 I have not seen anyone mention that spot silver is for 1000 bars Just saying 🤔
  15. Look at my post about 1946 dime. Doubling here and there but so far it’s not valuable or clear it’s anything other than machine doubling. Not the desired coin. Welcome and looks like you and I are both learning together 😉
  16. Agree. Small crack is personal. For me I would pass unless a bargain. Now the second coin is showing signs of cleaning and not gentle. CC ‘s are tough because I don’t have one (except the 2021🤨) and keep finding stuff like you are. This or that, almost but not really. If I am going to buy one I’m going to wait a couple years. The prices are crazy or there’s a problem. Not to say that if the slabbed CC is priced right I’d jump, but carefully 😉
  17. First. My nic-name on pcgs is Mr.2percent. I burn through the batteries but always have a charged backup ready to go. I see what you guys are saying. New to studying Roosies. Funny , I’ve held and looked at lots but until I started collecting did I notice. I’ll get this figured out. Thanks JZ
  18. Ah. I am very dense sometimes. A little research and because I’m flexible on condition and such that there’s probably a coin with my and the other musketeers names on it. Correct? I’m listening sorry I can be slow but really appreciate your input. Thanks JZ 😉
  19. Hey would you mind looking over this dime. I’m still not good at grading yet. Thanks Some looks machine doubling but appreciate your experience here 😉
  20. JKK. I understand and feel your pain. I don’t know what drives me. Perhaps I feel guilty for all the dang stupid stuff I bought. I know I should get a real proper coin but I’m with Hoghead on this one a $5 tenth oz age would be just fine so would a maple or Aussy WW2 commemoratives or you get my point. This is a first time thing and will be cherished ( I’ll try to get a cool one but there’s no hurry). Jz
  21. Living in a world class snow sports area before the pandemic there were many states and nations coins represented up here. Always lots of choices. This’ll be the first return to a full ski season and we’ll see
  22. Hogshead. I relate exactly to what your saying. I picked up 10 - 1 gram valcom’s some time back and they are nice but they ain’t a coin. I too, will keep and love it, never (hopefully) sell it. This’ll be fun supporting each other and whopping it up as we get our coins. 😉
  23. Welcome. Ase’s have the largest premium because they are number one in the world. $10-15 over spot. If I were you I would study up on bullion. Beware that silver is the worst to try and guess what’s next. 40,000,000 ase’s a year doesn’t make them rare. The collectors editions are another story and require study to understand that market. Silver selling is not like say ,sneakers. Studying numismatics may help you see other avenues to go down. Perhaps slabbed rare coins or stacker bullion that has a lower premium. eBay is a whole different animal and requires study and practice to master. Good luck 😉
