  1. Howdy and welcome. The Morgan appears to be AU and fairly common price wise. The peace has problems although they both are ok representations but not worth grading. Just my opinion. Thanks for posting as I’m in the middle of studying about grading. Very hard. 😉
  2. Go over to collectors forum and check the thread “ peace and Morgan flippers welcome.” There are pictures that will make you cry. Unbelievable scratches and scrapes big rubs on the cheek. Peace dollar that are posted look ok until you magnify spots and such. This forum is far superior to them but they can be useful for comparison. After much research I have learned that returned coins (to the mint) are absolutely melted in some odd cases stored at the “back” of the West Point vault but never used as current replacement stock. Thanks 🙏
  3. There’s been many reports with pictures of funky coins. Loose capsules. Spots milk spots. My cc ,
  4. Well I will drop in to say hi. For some reason I have been having major problems signing in. Emailed ngc last night. Ofcourse when I try to show what’s happening ( when I try to sign in it goes to my profile and I don’t see any way to sign in) it works. Sorry but I don’t know if I can get back to you so howdy. Bill buddy I have been there. I, sent a couple back. That’s what I would do and pick up the Anacs graded ms. Just me. I have an assortment of coins that I kept. Hopefully I’ll be back James 🙀🤓
  5. Hey Bill! I have been down this road before. Sometimes and might I add, in this COVID time that in hand can be tuff. That’s what makes it hard to buy from pictures. From what I’ve seen you have also made some awesome buys so carry on my friend 👍🏼
  6. The ase’s in this set have several hundred thousand cousins in individual issues. The others are available in the proof sets. Label hunters who need the limited edition wording will buy but this set is not very special. That said collect what you like but think twice about slabbing. Can be very costly and those 69’s will kill you. Last year the WW2 privy ase was hell in grading. Some received slabs with a grade of 65 and several in66-67. Can you imagine?😉
  7. Way back you asked about proof sets from 64. By silver proof set he was saying year set. In 64 the dime on up were silver hence silver proof set 😉 Better add that from 65 on things changed with the dime on up
  8. Vero86. Welcome. I have several coins that maybe aren’t super valuable but they mean something to me. You mentioned that your mom gave you this. Right there is plenty reason to keep it and enjoy it. It is silver and therefore value added. You can take better pictures than most. 😉 I’d like to add that sports cards and such are nice but a accident or fire your left with ashes. Something happens to the coin you still got the silver. 👍🏼
  9. Wow. I’m ready to scream!!! Stupid website. Stupid me. guys I’ve been trying to sign in for a week. Anyway. I have been on the phone with the mint. Following the other site. From what I can tell, look for shipping to change from best way to specific carriers. And as mentioned above, changing from backorder to processing. Also charges will appear on invoice, where now it’s zeroed out. If your credit card info is not showing (payment) they swear up and down they will email you and give 24-48 hours for you to call. Now where was I. Oh ya. Stupid website stupid grandpa 😂😉
  10. I don’t like them. Lady Liberty? I can see the Innobucks being modern. These really needed to be classic beauties, like our American Ladies represent to our country. These are modern classics. Not trinket looking game tokens. I feel better now. Nice to be back
  11. I use an iPhone 7 I have a jewelers loop Mostly just practice. I shoot all over the house trying different light On my phone I magnify 2-3 (. Using my finger on the screen). I use photo setting. Screenshot sometimes. Pictures others. Mostly practice.
  12. Isn’t there a translation google or something. Sorry I’m old and don’t use correct terms. I know I have been on a thread where someone translated. Try google.
  13. Home made slabs but I think 2x2’s would work for a sample Save your money. We’ll find you something
  14. Just remember for me and a big number of collectors The Morgan has a wonderful variety of options ( and opinions) A lot of ways to put together a collection, large or small. good luck
  15. I’ve heard of coins getting the washing machine treatment. Dryer same. Gets caught and rounded off and found again. They come by every week or so. It’s good because your looking at your coins. Read read read. Ask questions here.
  16. Thank you for your service. We will be happy to look at your coins Work on pictures and don’t post the listing ,don’t want someone sniping it Common sense description good photos and away we go welcome and hopefully we can learn from each other 😁
  17. If you don’t mind and if it’s still available would you mind PM ing me the link. Unless you’re thinking like me and quietly buy it for a sample. Want to keep it quiet not down for a beating. Anyway thanks James
  18. Sorry I didn’t do a better job explaining. JP is asking the right question. If it’s on the coin then I will go with AU55-58. If not ms 61-62.
  19. Any chance you could show your photo set up? Grading and good pictures are where I am at right now. So curious and I think you are doing great. Thanks Most don’t realize how much good pictures help.
  20. Love to show this coin when ever the elements come up 150 th anniversary, spelled out with elements. I have quite a bit of titanium in my back 😉 instrumented spinal fusion
  21. Grease on die? This is a big leap for me. I believe it was caused by a grease filled die.
  22. This is interesting JKK just took the words out of my mouth. Probably 55-58. Maybe 61-62. The cheek and the scratch on reverse. I like the coin but am learning to grade.
  23. Ham. I wanted to let you know that those are really good pictures. The coin is fun. Not valuable. your pictures are pretty dang nice
  24. Hey howdy I see you checked in with pcgs. Thanks good. I like to say this is called newbie for a reason. Over there I suit up in my armor and prepare to jump in the deep end. Deep and esoteric conversation. I have found both forums very useful. I am at home here😉. I have friends there. We do kid around here so enjoy and you are part of the forum. Congratulations
