  1. Is that edge lettering? With the lack of.925 or .999 I’m guessing it’s a commemorative round. Let’s see what some of the others think. It’s cool 😎
  2. The pictures are good. Thanks. The problem is “What the heck happened “. The research continues Hang in there help is on the way 👍🏼
  3. Looks like classic PVC or such ( schmutz)🙀 Unfortunately stuff can and does appear after slabbing.
  4. Please listen to Bill and the others. Stick around and you will get better at this and as newbies come in you can use your experience to help. It took me a while to remember how fast and convenient having a phone with internet is. Any place (almost) good information is available. From the person selling because they are down on their luck to pawn or coin shops. I can get a quick estimate.
  5. You will find that the penny, nickel and dime have no visible difference from ordinary issues. There’s 3- coin sets from the mint as well. I agree that the clad can be had $10-20 slabbed 69. $20-35 for silver It’s overlooked and a good value happy hunting 👍🏼
  6. More pictures and a weight as stated will be most helpful. Thanks interesting post.
  7. The quarter is awesome Slabbed version of quarter, half and Ike in silver available in69 grade under $30 for quarter and half $35 for the Ike maybe less Be picky as there are many to choose from 😉
  8. This is as low as I could find. I’m very happy with my Littleton $12. 😳 Mohawk. The currancy holder s are there(eBay) but expensive 🙀
  9. I read about dansco almost closing and then about pricing going through the roof because of remaining stock possibly being it. Then dansco posted that they survived but were backed up till next spring. Then prices dropped a little but availability became the problem. No wonder I got confused ( although my associates say old age😂)
  10. Hunted like crazy. Didn’t find that one (probably under my nose). I appreciate the information as it seemed unusual they didn’t include proofs. Thanks
  11. Thank goodness for copper and older proof sets. They fill the gotta buy something at the end of the month cravings 😉. Nice stuff
  12. Cool 2x2x2. Your right. A good way to do side by side. I’ve got a 7- coin set of all the 1982 varieties of pennies, on one holder. Makes checking really easy. 👍🏼
  13. Well I’m starting to collect dimes. Need to get away from ase’s and mint junk. Figured I go first class and get a dansco all$40 of it. Wasn’t I surprised when I thankfully did some research. The dansco does not include any proofs! Here’s my solution. High end Littleton. Has p & d circs & s-clad and s-silver proofs. Best part normal price $30. Got this one for $12😉. What do you think? Why doesn’t dansco include proofs? Did I make a mistake? Come on down and give your opinion 😉
  14. Last year I was passing on the 2oz reverse proof at $175. Guess I missed that jump. But my $12 Silver prospectors (Engelhard) made life bare able 🙃
  15. “ Gave it a little cleaning “. You have a way with words 😉
  16. Just from the looks they appear to have visible problems but clearer pictures would help. The first two seem to have schmutz on them and the 2021 reverse proof found the same fate as mine and many others fuzz from the cheap packaging they switched to. Have a lot of problems. Under a 5x loop no problems so it’s hard even for the tpg folks. Save your money and buy graded examples and check those very carefully. Some will say buy the coin not the holder. I am in that group 😉
  17. I don’t believe they are particularly valuable but interesting for sure. Then there’s some that have been clipped by bored collectors 😉
  18. Very nice. Amazing the different things out there and the question “how and why did they get there? Crack out leftovers? $3.50 free shipping I’m with you Just got this one from eBay. I am going to start an album of roosies 46- to date. I’m pretty sure that’s a stock photo because if not it’s a good deal 😉 Tis silver so that is nice 👍🏼
  19. Welcome Not necessary to learn as there are many very good books on grading and classes by ANA. You can post pictures here and we’ll be happy to give you an opinion. Perhaps before you send them in. Let’s look here and maybe help eliminate any problem coins. Enjoy and let us know when you get grades. Maybe some before and after pictures. We are all learning together so appreciate pictures. Thanks 😉
  20. The second one looks like paint or stain or ohahah bloood! Very spooky. Number one…I honestly have no idea but definitely abuse after the mint. Welding spots do indeed look like that. Don’t know but keep looking. By the way.. nice pictures. 😉
  21. Yep. Very nice. The Mercury dime is awesome I think I have a picture
  22. I really like the reverse of the newer ones but this un-toned 80’s has cartwheel luster and is good looking. I like them both. 😉 ( dude have you seen how much 2oz reverse proofs are going for 😳 $300+)
  23. A$3.50 proof roosy for my new dansco and a$2 copper. I have posted the Mercury dime copper they do. Very nice. Settled on 1946-2026 dansco Roosevelt dimes. Not gunna get caught up in silly reverse proof new Morgan’s or peace dollar. A ase S proof to continue that run but done being random and gunna focus on the complete roosy run with proofs 😉 As usual Bill. Nice stuff. Keep on👍🏼
