  1. I asked that very question once and was told there is not enough room for every top 100 Vam in the registry. In the top 100 Morgan varieties book there are 9 1878s Vams but only one slot in the NGC registry. One would think that the top 100 has 100 Vams, but it has a lot more. I went through the book and counted 194 top 100 Vams. Maybe it needs a new name. Thanks for all the kudos.
  2. Just time and money, every coin from GC or Ebay. I think about 15 were ANACS coins I cracked out and sent to NGC.
  3. I don't know how to do links, but if you go to NGC registry sets morgan dollars 1878-1921 top 100 vams I'm #11
  4. Hey all, while not really a newbie question, something happened on my Morgan silver dollar top 100 Vam registry set. I finally made it over 1000 views and thought that was pretty cool. The time to get to 1000 was 2 yrs 2 wks. I don't know if that is a long time or not, so would like to hear from other's on how long it took them to reach this milestone. It does not matter what the set is. thanks jimbo
  5. If you wish to not have Henri C comment on your posts, you should ignore him, problem solved. However, your last comment makes you look like the bad guy, IMHO.
  6. Well, my coins shipped today, and the coins fared well. One coin lost a grade, and two gained a grade. The ANACS coins are holding their own against NGC. First the labels, then the coins. The 1900 I thought was a vam 11, not 24, as I already have a vam 24.
  7. I enjoy collecting top 100 Morgans dollars for my registry set. I prefer to purchase NGC graded coins but if unavailable will buy PCGS graded coins. I also will buy ANACS graded coins when they are the only ones I can find. So far, I have had good luck doing this, so I sent in five more ANACS coins to NGC. They should be ready in 6-7 weeks, I will post when they are shipped. Here are the coins I submitted. I always crack them out, I think NGC has enough to do. If you wish to see the coins in their holders, I will post them on For The Love of Silver thread.
