There goes my icing!
If I can't have CAC.... NO ONE WILL!!!!!
I’m ok with it. You don’t have to pay that premium on most of them.

BUT - this one came in a (NGC MS67+ 5FS) holder, and when you look MS68FS, the prices go CrAzY! Hopefully, Albanese will give it a green bean - time will tell. Either way, I am excited to have this one, CAC would just be icing.
Very nice piece. Unfortunately they won’t CAC business strikes unless it is a 43/2 or one of the others. There are only certain Jeffs that will get a bean. Mainly old proofs and a few others. If you go to the CAC website, they have a list of Jeffs that qualify. Actually, here are the ones that qualify directly from the CAC website.

Lem - does this come in hardback? I just looked and only see it in paperback.
Not that I have ever seen. Mine is a paperback. I never really looked that hard though.

Thanks Lem, They were not very high grade coins like your wonderful nickels, but they are all FS so I like that. and there are lots of slots to fill as you well know.
It is a big set for sure. You are a lot more ambitious than me. I quit at 1964. It will be an awesome set when you get it done. Hope you have a lot of room.

I would say most likely it was from a grease filled die. Grease will collect in some recessed areas of the die and will prevent that spot from striking up properly.

Thanks Lem! The toning has actually progressed in this album over the years. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing, in the long run? I like the way they look at the moment.
If they all ended up looking like that 54, it wouldn’t hurt my feelings any. Guess it all depends on what you like.

Very nice Lem!! I really like the way many of these Jefferson's tone differently over the years. Yours look a lot like mine.
You and I are singing the same song with these Dansco's! I love them! I have Roosevelt Dimes, a Type Set (no gold), Mercs & Washington Quarters.
You wanta see my Jefferson's?
Thanks TJ. There are a few toners in there. I’m always game to see some Jeffs.
