I thought the privvy mark coins were selling for $500 each ? And a complete set was like $2,000 or more for MS70 and 1st Strike ?
I was going by standard label and asking price. I didn’t look at sold prices which may be different. CCs are averaging $250 and the Os are $200 for 70s. Looks like FDOI coins are in the $315 range for CC coins. This is only from an ebay search. The Denver coins are the highest priced in a 70.

If I were trying to collect this series, this would probably be the nail in the coffin for me. Even if I was hardcore enough to make it through the initial release and still want to continue the series, this would make me throw in the towel. Especially after teasing people with proof strikes. A break in the series this early is a killer in my opinion.

I am saving this series for last.
If it makes it. May be a real short set.

Same with CC privies, or are they hanging in there higher?
From what I see the average price for most MS70s are in the $200/250 range. The Denver coin seems to bring the premium right now. According to the pop reports, they are the ones that didn’t grade well, and 70s were less abundant. Then again, it depends on which labels they have.

I’m glad I didn’t get mixed up with these. Seems like it has been one disappointment after another.

I really like the all over gold toners like your 91D. Another very nice trio for your set. If you add in the proofs, the set is 297 coins and counting. Quite an undertaking to complete. Keep up the good work buddy. I peek in on your set now and again. The set is looking great!

No FS on SMS coins.

The only doubled die I see for 1990 besides the S is this one, but it is a DDR and a Philly coin.

I have to admit, you are personally responsible for me looking more at nickels. I love your set.
Thanks. Always good to have another nickel guy around.

I agree 100%! I have bought a few Jefferson Nickels and Proof Mercury Dimes, and I feel like I have been "cheating" on my half cents.
Nah it’s all good. Variety is the spice of life and such.

April 2022 marks my two-year Coinaversary. This year I know what I want - a couple half cents for the date set. I have been working very hard on that one, and I can't let it fizzle. I am doing a full 1793-1857 date set, so the scope is a little larger than a year ago.
Happy Coinaversary to everyone else who celebrates them. If you do not celebrate Coinaversaries - your should totally start!
Congrats my friend. 2 years calls for a 2 coin purchase.

I’m at a show in Chattanooga TN this weekend, and picked up this beauty today. Nicest 09-S VDB I have ever owned for sure. Pay no attention to my quick cell phone snaps.
@Coinbuf I thought of you when I was walking away with it
That is a nice one and I’m sure wasn’t cheap with the bean premium tacked on. Nice find.

I have been trying to stock up on FS Jefferson nickels. It’s harder than I imagined to find 6FS coins. This is a beauty for sure.
Seems like you have the best shot at a 6 step coin with 40Ds and 43Ds. That’s what I feel like I have seen the most.

I wouldn’t be feeling too good if I paid $500 per coin in the beginning.
