  1. Most likely a sample slab from a coin show. Usually has a lower grade coin inside and given away at a show or event. Generally for marketing. Welcome to the forum by the way.
  2. Thanks. It is my birth year, and I didn’t expect the set to be as difficult to put together as it seems to be.
  3. I think it was more your personality than your numismatic knowledge that people liked. You’re a fun dude and that is sometimes needed in this hobby. You had more of a CRH element over there and you were like a roll hunter on steroids with your daily finds. You probably found more silver in a week than most would find in a lifetime. I enjoyed your content over there and a lot of other people did too. It also gave us a chance to become friends. It is unfortunate what happened, but it is what it is. I hope you can find your place over here. May not quite be the same as over there, but I’m glad to see you over here. By the way, I think you know a little more about coins than you let on.
  4. 57 and 58. The date was also enlarged.
  5. That cat looks like he is on some good stuff.
  6. Thanks. I think it should be a nice little set when completed.
  7. The new PDS set of Dr. Sally Ride quarters arrived today.
  8. Be aware that not all signed slabs are “hand signed” by the actual person. Some are just printed signatures. It should be noted under the signature if it is hand signed or printed facsimile. Here are examples of both.
  9. I just saw that name on a slab a few days ago. No idea who it is. The seller of this coin has several of the coins from this collection. Some are high $$$ coins.
  10. Not a problem. My threads are always open to everyone.
  11. The brighter versions of the two pics above were not sent to me by mistake and are not your test pics. They are modified versions of the originals.
  12. I think the images represent the coins quite well.
  13. Its Joe. Around here known as Buffalo Head and Crazyhounddog ATS. I think he does amazing work.
  14. I finally had a chance to send Joe another group of coins for imaging. I am very happy with the results.
  15. Very nice, and the steps look to be pretty clean from the section I see. Typical area for die cracks on these. This is one of the hardest coins to find in the series. There just aren’t many of them out there. Great piece my friend.
  16. That is a tough coin to get ahold of. Congrats on that find JP.
  17. The mint will keep cranking them out and they will sell. No doubt about it.
  18. Ok thats the one I thought you were referring to, and that’s why I said the Morgans and those don’t compare simply because of the mintage difference.
  19. The burnished versions have a finish similar to the standard bullion, but will carry a mintmark. Usually a lower mintage than the rest of the series per year. The mint calls these “uncirculated”. When buying slabbed coins, the burnished versions will not have parentheses around the mintmark on the label.
  20. Seems like after the initial release hype and inflated prices at the start, these fall in line with ASEs price wise. I agree they seem to settle into their normal price range and stay put. Same with ASEs. They are basically the same thing. Collector bullion. I don’t feel that any of the new Morgans or Peace dollars are quite on par with the 2019 S ASE. There is no particular Morgan that has a lower mintage than the other by a significant amount. I feel like these will be on par with ASE pricing if the series continues.
