  1. Sorry. I know why it got the 'poof'. It was SPAM and Just Bob called it out and I believe he and I reported it as SPAM. Sorry for that.
  2. Me too. So called 'Errors' etc belong in a parking lot. To make a big deal of malfunctions in mechanically produced items is 'bananas'. What man can create - man will screw up.
  3. I was keeping track of these so called 'nubies' who would post once or twice, mostly belligerent, but when it exceeded more in two months than CU had in five years I gave up. Two guys we all know. One thought he would assume command of this forum and another, long termer, was badly treated by some Veteran Members here of the Forum. You can change the name but you can't change the style.
  4. 1. Boredom? 2. Being played? 3. The names have been changed to protect the?
  5. I may be wrong but.....................a long time ago PCGS stopped accepting NGC coins in their Registries. Then NGC, in retaliation, quit accepting PCGS coins. I suspect the uproar over the years brought about some changes.
  6. Correct............... NGC Coins in the Registry Here??? erwindoc Posts: 3,685 ✭✭✭✭✭ May 2, 2013 10:54AM in PCGS Set Registry Forum Just read a post ATS that NGC coins were going to be allowed in the PCGS registry. Does anyone know any more about this or is it just a rumor? NGC Coins in the Registry Here??? — Collectors Universe
  7. Always good deals from the guys and gals at Northeast. If you want a good and honest deal they are the folks to go to. Nice Eagle and an NGC MS 70 to boot.
  8. Wrong. The Gatling would never come close to hitting the coin. In the days of Cody and Oakley they would open the cartridge, dump half the black powder put and then fill the cartridge with very fine BBs known as, you guessed it, Bird Shot. Disregard the stories you hear about guys like Wild Bill. Hickok only made one truly amazing show, across a town square of about 50 yards, to hit Dave Hutt in the heart. Hickok fired with his converted 36 Navy Colt resting over his forearm. No quick draw or single hand for him. I have been known to hit a Kennedy Half Dollar at 50 yards, off hand, with a Thompson Center Hawken .50 Cal single shot Black Powder rifle. I challenged a guy who had a multi shot .22 Caliber rifle with a scope. He hit 0 for 5 while I hit 5 for 5. How did that happen? Hint: Technology.
  9. No! Never! Not once! The old time 'Trick Shooters' - Oakley, Cody and whom ever you want to call up never put a hole in a coin tossed in the air. Though they hit it every time. Cain you figure out how they did it? Hint: Has something to do with birds.
  10. Finding the coin after you hit it with a bullet is more than just 'difficult'.
  11. I didn't take you for a guy who buys sight unseen. What will happen to all those lovely paid out pre-sale dollars if there is an 'accident' at the US Mint and the program must be 'delayed indefinitely'? Will there be howls of anguish heard round the world? signed, your friend, the Anti-Privy Mark Guy
  12. Morgan Dollars too. Morgan Dollar Coin Ring - Handmade by Maria Lucia (billythetree.com) 10% off just for you.
  13. Agreed. I don't like the tone of it. Looks like an artificial tone job to me. Just a guess now.
  14. That's a nice looking coin and don't worry about the pics. Here's a Two Cent piece to compare to. Graded NGC MS 64 Bn: Note the strangeness around the date.
  15. Why anyone would put money into slabbed bullion I'll never know. Any why people go nuts for American Silver Eagles????? Silver - Now - $27.90 Kitco. 20 to 99 ASE .999 Fine Random Date = $40.32 Scruffy = $39.52 25 to 99 2021 Canadian Maple leaf .9999 Fine = $37.12
  16. I have an 1861 $2 1/2 Dollar gold piece PCGS mislabel as a $1.00. Had it a long time and I ain't gonna change it. Makes the coin a little bit more interesting. PS: Nice looking Colonial.
  17. Now where have I been seeing a lot of this lately?
  18. I loved those Shake and Bake toned Morgans that were all the rave on SleezeBay. I was just sorry you could never get the scm bgs who did the cooking and ruined those coins. Some did make it into slabs though!
