  1. No, that's not what I read. By larger order; what do you mean. Most could only order 5 of each which was the Mint set limit. Some were saying they had two coins cancelled. I don't know; didn't get any.
  2. Do you have to have an account with the US Mint to get their goods?
  3. " It's time someone gave them a taste of their own medicine -- and that someone is me." Give 'em h*ll Harry; I'm rooting for you.
  4. What the folks here refer to as 'Basement Slabs". Someone bought some holders and made those up. If you can find no brand name on them they are NOT TPGs. Be careful when buying - you cannot trust the grade on them. Good luck.
  5. On the Forum ATS some folks are saying they are getting E-Mails from the US Mint saying their orders have been cancelled. if this is so I have no idea what to think.
  6. At 10 per "Household", what ever that means, is 17,500 "Households". Wow, I'm flabergasted. None of us mere mortals, Unwashed and Unworthy of honest service by the Mint, know how many of that massive 175,000 coins were doled out to the 'Chosen Dealers' Prior to this fabulous wonderment. As I do not belong to the US Mint and have not purchased anything this does not hurt me but, according to the comments ATS, there were a lot of disappointed people. Disappointed by a 'Privy Mark' coin no less. To prove to me this was a wasted effort, and another trick by the mint, I bought a 'real' 1921 Morgan Dollar in PCGS MS 64 for $89.00 plus free shipping. I am glad the witchery magic of the US Mint worked out and they sold ALL their 175,00 Privy Coins and created a 'new' rarity for coin collectors. I cannot wait until the EBay price reaches $2,000.00 per coin so I can be sure of getting the 'real thing'. Every time I feel close to tears at my loss I take out my San Francisco Old Mint Dollar and fondle it remembering I paid $39.00 at the Mint for it and can buy one on EBay for $32.00. Perhaps we will have an 'Annual' minting of these 'unique' specimens. a 2022 Peace Dollar then a 2023, etc. etc.
  7. hey g, what happens if something goes wrong and the US Mint can't meet it's sales. Will EBay get you a refund in October if you buy today? Just asking.
  8. Exactly. And if they give out a few to the Unwashed the rest can shop at the Dealers. Who by the way didn't seem to encounter any problems. Just have a look at EBay.
  9. EBay has become totally insane with these 'Privy' coins. $175.00 is the lowest BIN price I could find. Then it starts at $225.00 and climbs there after. For a coin that sold for $85.00. And what happens if the US Mint fails to deliver? By October can you still file a claim with EBay?
  10. You brought this on yourself and I am so happy M.F. has someone to focus on besides little old me.
  11. Very nice Morgan Dollar.. I would estimate it turns out a MS 64 or maybe even a MS 65 but I cannot grade worth a darn.
  12. You and many other collectors who have suffered the continuing disappointments over the decades of the US Mint's inefficiency. Our Government never gets better it only gets...............
  13. And possibly worse than the San Francisco earthquake of 1906!
  14. 3 Minutes into the sale the website began crashing, 20 minutes later the "Sold Out" signs went up and THOUSANDS of collectors got screwed, But that's exactly what some of us predicted. Go over ATS and read how they feel about it. Didn't seem to effect the EBay sellers but then they got a Pre-Sale and the collector got screwed.
  15. Very nice. It should give you hours of enjoyment.
  16. Exactly. Sold to the favored Dealers by the thousands and we get a shot at the left overs.
  17. 175,000 and how many went to the common person after the Dealer Pre-Sale by the thousands. Out of the 60+ ATS if 40 got a coin it was luck.
  18. Well EdG_Ohio you didn't miss much. This was probably the worst US Mint sale on record. In 3 to 5 minutes the site was crashing and at the 25 minute window 'This Item Is Unavailable" appeared on the Privy coins.
  19. You must certainly did. We are just reveling in the madness that goes on with these highly hyped Mint sales. For all anyone knows these may turn out like the Old San Francisco Mint Morgan. Mint price was $39.00 and EBay today is $38.00. Welcome to Sleepy Hollw - hope your experience here is a good one.
  20. NEW LISTING*CONFIRMED ORDER* FIVE (5) Morgan 2021 Silver Dollar W CC Privy Mark 100th Anv $2,000.00 or Best Offer Free shipping Not bad for $85.00 coins, eh?
  21. Yes, I gambled and lost. Had 2 CC Privy coins in the bag and then...................Poof! Crash and Burn! What a pathetic website and the folks running it ought to be canned.
