  1. I don't usually comment but.....a coin that beautiful and not in a PCGS or NGC slab. Send it in and see.
  2. Very nice. Thanks for posting this. Always interested in the historical.
  3. What Coinbuf said. $64.50 for $19.00 worth of silver. Ummm.
  4. I believe that with a change of management and some really talented personnel the US Mint could become the favorite it was in years past. There are some gold coin designs from 1798 to 1900 that would be nice. Also the BEP. Compare an 1896 $1.00 bill to today's $1.00 bill. Oh, just wishful thinking.
  5. Still no problems in getting pennies, nickels and quarters from the 5 banks in town. maybe it's just in chosen states.
  6. In Block 5 of the NGC Submission Form the is information on the use of NCS Conservation. I have used this service 3 times on gold CC coins. Twice they were conserved and it was an excellent job of eye appeal. One of the two jumped up one grade. The third coin was returned to me, with no charge other than postage, as it was judged not economically worth conservation. I am a satisfied customer of NCS. Good luck what ever you choose.
  7. Right Conder101. It's sad that people cannot accept the good with the bad. I have never found an absolutely, 100%, holier than thou person.
  8. Welcome to the forum. Some one will come along and explain the 'Coin Marketplace' procedures and give you some hints. I've never done it but I see a lot of old timers use it. Good luck.
  9. Not having any problems in Central Pennsylvania. Just picked up my weekly 5 rolls of quarters.
  10. I really don't think the Mint will get this right. There's been a lot of bad stuff coming out of there these past years.
  11. I put my heart and my wallet into three IGC graded CC Trade Dollars. One an IGC XF 45, an IGC AU 55 and an IGC MS 62. Sent them in to NGC and all three came back Details - Cleaned, Cracked them out and sent to PCGS and again Details - Cleaned. That was an expensive lesson for me but I have heard good about them. My dealer also had a gold $5.00 piece IGC straight graded that he said definitely 'cleaned'. All TPGs make mistakes.
  12. You can't. For decades now the system was designed to favor the dealer and NOT the buyer/seller.
  13. Welcome and sorry for the report you got. When it comes back, if it is slabbed, crack it out and send to PCGS. If they say the same thing you're out of luck. Folks have been counterfeiting coins since coins were invented. 30 years ago counterfeiting coins was a booming business.
