Just Bob got a reaction from Fenntucky Mike in Wooden Nickels does your town?
I can honestly say that this is the first time I have ever seen an advertisement for buffalo and longhorn semen. And I saw it on a coin chat board.

Good info, Mike. Researching the towns, businesses, and people involved is one of the things that makes token collecting so interesting.

Just Bob got a reaction from Woods020 in Graded Coins - DETAILS: SCRATCHED vs. Bag Marks
Big, heavy silver dollars, stored in bags that were moved around from place to place, constantly rubbing and scraping against other coins in the bag, tend to get more scratches and dings than smaller coins. This is just my opinion, but I think Morgans are treated differently in the grading room, because of their size, weight, and the circumstances in which they were stored. I feel the same way about double eagles. Like I said, just my opinion.

Just Bob got a reaction from bsshog40 in Popping/clicking nickel?
It is a joke squirting nickel. There is a tiny hole in the middle of the "O" in the word "OF."
Press in on the metal part, hold the coin under water, and release. It will draw water into the chamber. Then tell someone, "look at this hole in this coin," or something similar. When they put their face close to it to see the hole, give it a squeeze, and water will squirt out in their face.

Your brother sounds like a cheapskate, if, as a birthday present, he gave you only 5 coins that are a dime a dozen.

Just Bob got a reaction from James Zyskowski in Davison Dairy Co. Token
Looks like they made at least three different types.

Personally, I would just leaf it alone.

Just Bob got a reaction from rrantique in It's Token Tuesday! Post 'em if you got 'em.
On August 3rd, 1938, Mssrs. H.J.Wilson, D.A. Graves, and H.H Parker filed a record of charter to form the Copiah County Building & Development Co. in Hazlehurst, MS. Its stated purpose was to, among other things, " buy, own, lease, and operate lumber yards," "buy, sell, and exchange wares and goods," and to "buy, own, sell, and lease timber and timber lands."
On March 23, 1943, an amendment to the charter was filed, changing the name to Graves, Inc.
In addition to the $0.25, $0.50, and $1.00 tokens shown, a $0.05 token was also issued.

Just Bob got a reaction from GBrad in 1965 proof lincoln cent
I should have worded my response differently, evidently. I did not mean to imply that I thought the OP's coin was a special mint set coin. I just meant that, because of the date, it could not be a proof coin.
-
Just Bob got a reaction from GoldBear150 in 1965 proof lincoln cent
In this case, it has to be a Special Mint Set coin, as there were no proofs made in 1965, 66, or 67.

As far as the grade, lower XF details looks about right

Just Bob reacted to Oldhoopster in Coin fantasy or real
You may want to check out Daniel Sedgwick's site and/or read his book before implying that this is anything other than a replica of a pillar and wave cob (and a poor one st that). Take the time to study the characteristics of genuine cobs and note the appearance of salvaged ones. Does it really look like it spent hundreds of years being in saltwater and tossed around beach?
Did you notice the casting seam Mr. Lange pointed out in a previous post?
It's irresponsible giving a new hobbiest false hope.
