This overload of quarters is the end of money as we know it

Who else thinks hundreds of circulated quarter designs in a couple decades is just TOO MUCH? Greetings collectors, I just waved the magic loupe over a couple rolls of Grand Canyon quarters (thanks, Kerry!) ... and I've got a few thoughts. 1. Putting a design of a bunch of rocks on a coin made of metal ripped out of the ground is not my idea of great coinage. What's going on ????

What happened to values ..... Greetings all; I came here early Friday afternoon and checked my Kennedy's and ALL the FMV of every coin was now in red and only a fraction of their FMV from the day before. Then went to my Ike's and the very same. I called NGC and talked to Lisa and she was not aware of what was going on but passed on the info to higher ups. ANOTHER GORGEOUS SITE...

Actually in "two" senses of the word! "Two" gorgeous sites. Greetings Collectors, It's getting close to three in the afternoon here on the east coast and my "excitement" level is starting to build. TWO "NEW" COINS ARRIVED TODAY

Gold is almost $1400, but for all you "math dudes" this dropping ratio is almost getting "scary". Greetings Collectors, My friend out in Ca. at Teletrade auctions really came through for me today. Recieved my 1973 MS65 Eisenhower today

think you want to sell,,think again I recently decided to part with an ungraded set of Peace dollars to help further my Morgan collection. I see ... (a word about NGC's competition)

I just joined PCGS for a better look at populations than can be gotten through auction sites. Now that I'm a member of both NGC and PCGS, I can truly compare the services. I'm not experienced enough in the grades to really compare grading across the services. I'm sure that there are some variances. It's possible that one service grades more easily than another. Certainly auction houses see much better results for modern coins from PCGS than from NGC. But I don't think it's in NGC's best

Oct. was a hot month

Best Month in 15+ years Usally I collect coins one here one there,as my budget permits. But October I went wild ended up with 9 coins, best Month ever since I atarted collecting coins over 15 yrs ago. finish off my Proof Eagles (4) then went and got a good start on my Certified set with (5) I have (2) more in my sight before the Year is over, then will have to replish the war chest a little before starting anew. 2010 P Sacagawea Missing Eye

Mutiple errors Lately the US Mint has created some very interesting errors with their Sacagawea Business Strike Dollars. This one has a missing eye, parts of the mouth and face are missing. A Hugh Die Break too. I don't collect error coins but I know other collectos love them. TWO VERY GOOD MOVES

I bet ya know what ones gonna be... Greetings Collectors, I have been doing some "touch ups" on my Franklin Half Set #1 with descriptions and re-shooting a few photos. As most of you know, I'm a Franklin half fan (which is short for "fanatic" & that's exactly what I would call myself) and have numerous sets and well over 100 graded ones ranging from MS-63 FBL, right on up to several in 66 with the "full bell line designation. Morgan Mania 11/1/10 ... I finally started my Morgan Set. I'm working on all the inexpensive MS coins first, then I will move on to the CC's down the line.   11/2/10 ... Sold...on silver!

Thanks to WKF. I must say that I have never really collected anything but modern coinage, basically because of the cost - I have a meager budget. However, reading all of WKF's journals has sold me on collecting some silver. I started out this week buying about 1/3 of the mercury dimes although only in low, raw coins to fill a Dansco album. Through Virgin Eyes!

There is nothing like working with a new collector to get new focus. My 24 year old son came home from work the other day. He was quite excited, almost electric. He promptly produced 3 $2 bills he had traded out of the register. They we relatively new issues (I think 1976 and 1995) and in circulated condition but not terribly worn.
