DavidARay-migration
This is a note from French New Caledonia. Emergency Issue from April 1943. From what my research tells me about this note there were less than 50,000 of this notes printed. Anyone seen these before or have any more of the set (5, 10) they can offer up for sell? Yarm
Most of the architectural medals I've come across have been copper or bronze. This is a white metal example of St. Giles cathedral as reconstructed in 1883 (BHM 3157)
rbrown4
I have not been over here in awhile, so trying to get caught up. Some lovely pieces everyone. This one is not that special but the toning/patina is unbelievable, I wish my images did it justice. Thanks to Doogy for this obscure pick up. Yarm
That crown looks VERY choice to me! Here's a "marker" for Christ's Hospital which features Edward VI (who lived only to age 15).
Oldtrader3
Nice, Edward VI, he died young from a virulent form of TB (they think now).

jackson64
simply gorgeous rey...I absolutely love that rich, brown color.... here are my three primary purchases from the ANA World's Fair of Money.... first is a Polish 10zy I got at the Poland Mint table in the "Mints of The World" area second is a nice Nicaragua 10 Cordobas piece with the ship La Nautica (wonderful "oyster shell" luster) and finally, my big snag--a hard to find 1963 Israel 5 Lirot Proof with stunning toning and underlying mirrors ( which I can't photo well because the coin has a strange concavity to it)...anyhow..enjoy.. PS: rey, I saw some great Railroad/locomotive coins at the Canadian mint table--just released PPS: Rial--I also saw a fantastic coin at the Austrian Mint Table, it is a Commem to the Philharmonic Edited August 3, 2008 by jackson64
