  1. Hello @ldhair, damaged and bent are two subcategories under our NGC Details grading. A coin can be both damaged and bent. You may find more about these designations and how we define them here: NGC Details Description Glossary | NGC. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  2. Hello @LucaCollect, thank you for contacting us. NGC does not grade coins with an off-center designation, however, we do designate coins as mint errors. We would need the coin in hand to confirm if the coin qualifies as a mint error. If you are interested in submitting coins to us for grading, you can find out more on the process at How to Submit | NGC (ngccoin.com) and our grading fees at NGC Services and Fees | NGC (ngccoin.com). Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  3. Hello @ldhair, thank you for contacting us. Yes, we can crack the coins out for you. Your coins will need to be accompanied by the "consent to remove" form in order for us to crack the coins out. You may put coins with varieties on the same form as long as they fall under the same grading tier as the other coins on the form. If you have coins that fall under different grading tiers, those will need to be all on separate forms. Lastly, we will not be offering conservation services at the Fun Show. If you are only looking to submit the coins for grading on-site, you are free to submit them there. If you'd like them to go through conservation, you can either ship your coins to us at any time, or submit them at the FUN show where they will be brought back to our facilities for processing. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  4. Hello @Rykel, Thank you for contacting us. NGC does not assign values, purchase, or sell coins. The value we ask you for is an insurance value, a number you would feel comfortable with in terms of a replacement value if your coin was lost or damaged while with us. We encourage you to be conservative as we do not reimburse you if you over-value your coin. If your coin was grossly under-valued, we reserve the right to bump it to the appropriate tier. Good resources for determining the value of your coins are completed eBay auctions and the posted prices by large coin dealers. We do have a coin price guide on our website which might offer some information. These prices come to us from a third-party and are based on current auction pricing: US Price Guide or World Price Guide If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  5. Hello @Gary4715, the process to file a shipping claim can take several weeks - usually about 3-4 months on average for the claim to be actually approved with FedEx. At that point, our claims department will reach out to you with the results of the claim with FedEx. We're really sorry this process takes so long, unfortunately, we're at the mercy of FedEx and their underwriters to do their own investigation to approve the claim. I would say if you don't hear anything by the mid-November, please email us directly and we will check into this for you. Thank you in advance for your patience, we understand this is a long time to wait. In the meantime, please let us know if you need anything else.
  6. Hello @jnabz. Thank you for contacting us. I am sorry, I do not see a question in your post. Is there anything we can assist you with? Thank you in advance!
  7. Hello @JohnN, thank you for contacting us. It looks this coin is currently in an old ANACS holder. If you were to send the coin to us, we would need to crack open the holder for the coin to be placed in an NGC holder. We could not keep the ANACS grade and description if it were sent to us. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  8. Hello @James P. ONeill Jr., thank you for contacting us. This is the final stage before your coins are shipped out. When the coins are sent through finalization, they will then be placed in a safe right before shipping gets the coins packaged up and ready to be sent out. You should see the order shipped shortly! Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  9. Hello @Erin33, Thank you for contacting us. You’ll need to have a general idea of the value of each coin to help select which grading “tier” or category to submit the coin under. Grading tiers and fees can be found at Services and Fees | Coin Submissions | NGC (ngccoin.com). Kindly note that NGC does not buy, sell, or value coins. Good resources for determining the value of your coins are completed eBay auctions and the posted prices by large coin dealers. As for your question about errors, we will only designate a coin with a mint error if it is specially requested via the "Mint Error" service. If this service is not requested, we will grade the coins normally and will not include details of the mint error itself. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  10. Hello @Gary4715, thank you for contacting us. I see that this claim was most recently updated on 10/02/23 by our claims team and they should be reaching out to you shortly with the results of the shipping claim. I will send them a message to ensure they reply to your most recent email. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  11. Hello @Christopher Ray, thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm if the "patch" of toning would result in a details grade. Our graders would have to determine what it is and go from there. However, the coin would not qualify for CrossOver if you cracked the coin out of its current PCGS slab. If you'd like your coin to go through CrossOver service, you may submit the coin as is. If you'd like to submit it raw, you may consider sending the coin through NCS Conservation services first to see if they can assist with the patch. You can read more about NCS and what they are able to remove/assist with HERE. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  12. Hello @Kevin Varney, Thank you for contacting us. That is a neat coin you have on your hands! However, NGC is a coin-grading company. We do not buy, sell, or value coins. You can find out more about our company online at About NGC | NGC Coin Grading | NGC. You may want to consider taking the coin to a currency dealer to see if they can help appraise the coin for you. A list of NGC-Authorized dealers can be found here: Dealer Locator | NGC. If you are interested in submitting coin to us for grading, you can find out more about the process at How to Submit | NGC (ngccoin.com) and our grading fees at NGC Services and Fees | NGC (ngccoin.com). If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank You!

  14. Hello @rgregoms70, thank you for contacting us. Yes, we have graded varieties from coins minted in 1962. You will need to check the census for your coin to confirm if any were from Denver. 21. Hello @MilesofRose, thank you for contacting us. Yes, you can send your coins in the mint packaging/capsules. We will remove the coins from the packaging once received. 22. Hello @Tonyqt, thank you for contacting us. Carrier tracking may indicate that your submission has been received at our office, however, it can still take a short amount of time to reflect within our online submission tracking. All packages received move into an intake process where the contents are inventoried and compared against the submission form as validation before moving forward into the grading process. Should there be any discrepancy encountered with an item itself, a missing or extra item, or any other concern for that matter, our customer service team will reach out for clarification accordingly. Please note, the intake process can take upwards of 7-14 business days before the order will reflect within online submission tracking. Thank you for your patience as we work to enter your order into the system. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
  23. Hello @Secret Argent Man, thank you for contacting us. While I am unable to confirm if your PC is having any issues with downloading the images on our website, we have not had any widespread concern about this issue, and I am able to see the images on our main website without any issues. You may consider clearing your cache on your PC to see if this assists with the issue. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  24. Hello @ChWitt, thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, we are not able to identify varieties on coins via photos. An in-hand evaluation by the grading team would be required to determine if the coin has a variety or a mint error. However, you may visit our VarietyPlus | NGC page to review the varieties we designate and to see photos of those varieties. If you'd like to submit your coin to determine if it may have a variety, you can read more about the process here: NGC Coins | How to submit. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
