  1. Almost virtually impossible to grade while still in the cellophane. Then can't guarantee grade if you took it out.
  2. I guess they use to keep those baths next to the windows in case anyone decided to break in. Lol
  3. Doesn't look ddo to me either. The only well known is the 1958p Lincoln.
  4. I would like to see an edge pic. It looks a little too rounded to me to be a clip. Looks like a hard hit on the edge.
  5. It looks like the 2nd and 3rd steps are merging to me.
  6. Yea I have a few mint roll boxes just sitting on a shelf.
  7. Although I don't have a garden, if I did and found a gold coin in it, there definitely wouldn't be any vegetables that year. My metal detector would be all over that. Lol
  8. Very true but the reverse looks like layers of something, almost as if this may have been lacquered at one point.
  9. No prob! I'll keep an eye on the post to see if anything else comes up. Bobby
  10. I've only gotten one response soo far. Looks like S.233 to me. R2+. Worn denticles and corrosion make attributing a little dicey. Lance.
  11. Well the coin is probably about Good condition. Conservation is gonna cost at least $25 and then grading is another $22 besides buying a membership or finding someone to submit for you. Then it can't be guaranteed that they will be able to conserve it. If you have patience and don't want to spend much money you can always get you a small glass jar, get you some virgin olive oil, (not the olive oil that likes to run around, Lol) couldn't help myself. Anyway, soak it in olive oil for a few months and see if it will loosen any of the junk on it.
  12. Yea I would imagine a possible detector find. Still pretty cool though. If ya want, I can steal your pics and post it ats to help ya out. Here's my 1805 It's suppose to be an S-268 R-3.
  13. Have you tried posting it ATS also? Someone between both forums will surely know. I have an 1805 and someone had found the variety for it for me. That was quite a while back.
  14. As stated, you have a trade dollar. From some of the glare in your pictures, it also looks harshly cleaned.
  15. I can see this thread going on and on and a lot of things missed or get lost. I agree a trading post would be beneficial but I would like to see a section where WTT could be separated for each individual to start their own thread.
  16. There's no way to even come close to an approximate grade with the pics provided. This coin would have to grade at least MS67 before it would be worth grading.
  17. I would presume those scratches are on the holder but no way of telling unless you have it in hand.
  18. I think NGC's site shows it cost $12 per coin to get reholdered. But, depending on the age of your slabs, they most likely won't carry them anymore. Unless you want to send them all in for the same holder that is being offered at this time.
