  1. Looks like we were all posting at the same time. Lol
  2. I'm going out on a limb here. It looks like possible clashing to me. Don't have a couple halves handy to see if anything actually matches up.
  3. All I can really make out is what looks like maybe some drops of glue or something. It looks like more of whatever it is on the N and D of canada. Acetone will probably remove that. Not sure it will help the pvc on the quarter.
  4. This almost looks like an attempt at a magicians coin that failed.
  5. Is the one you posted yours or just a pic that you provided. It's a nice PL also.
  6. Not sure who you are responding to but my post was directed at the OP.
  7. This is nothing new with the mint! I gave up on them a while back. I even stopped my SAE collection at 2020. Tired of messing with the mint and definitely don't deal with flippers.
  8. I've always liked danscos. They just look classier on the bookshelf.
  9. I'm glad I quit messing with the mint. No stress here.
  10. I'm a little late to the party but looks like the same answers are going out. S is AU and D is badly cleaned.
  11. I agree. I bounce around ebay once in a while looking at morgans. You're lucky to be able to pickup a common date AU morgan for less than $30 anymore. Especially with silver being up right now.
  12. You won't know if it will be good until you try it out. I had a celestron model that looked like the one you bought. The problem was the inability to turn the built in light off. It caused too many reflections on the coin to get clear pics. I bought an opti-tekscope a while back and have had pretty good pics with it. I also use mine to look at wrist watch parts.
  13. With the lines only going thru the fields and not the letters or chin, looks like die polish lines to me also.
  14. Yep, still looks like some sort of staining to me.
  15. I think that would make me think twice about dropping a coin in my pocket also. Lol
  16. The pics are kind of big. I'm thinking if they were a little smaller I'd be looking at an MS 66 Buff.
  17. I agree with coinbuf. First off the coin looks maybe MS63. The mark that coinbuf is referring to is the one under the "M" heading towards the hair. That does not look like a die crack. It may be a scratch on the plastic capsule you have it in. Another thing to note is that NGC doesn't note Vams in grading. They are cool to look at though. I have an 1882 CC Vam 3D.
  18. The only reason I ruled it out was I can't see a Die Break Cap in your pics.
