To my knowledge, the Board Guidelines require members to sign out after each engagement. While the powers that be insist they cannot sign-out anyone, as the only dues-paying lurker who "serves" at the pleasure of top management and flexing their Moderation muscle direct me to sign in, not only once a day but very often three or four times.  If there is a "rush hour" so to speak, with maximum usage, it will take time to locate it but I will find it.

I never sign out and come on every day without having to log in.

Thanks for this timely advice! I found several more of the Kennedy half dollars that are dated before 1971 (and will look into the collectability of these before selling them for silver. Also, I misspoke earlier regarding having lots of other Morgan dollars — I only have 2 Morgan dollars, the rest are actually Eisenhower dollars which seem to be worth only face value. Other than the 2 Morgan dollars and the 16 pre-1971 Kennedy half dollars, I have one Peace dollar (in very grungy condition though) and 2 Franklin half dollars. I also have 14 Susan B. Anthony dollars (all dated 1979) but it seems these are only worth face value.

So the coins going to the bank on my next trip into town are gonna be these:

    • Eisenhower dollars
    • Kennedy half dollars dated 1971 and later
    • Susan B. Anthony dollars

I wish you luck some banks are getting fussy and do not want to take those coins.

I haven't purchased any of these yet. They are so new that I have no freakin idea how to grade them raw. I've still just barley seen maybe 5 of these reverse proof coins in person. I think I will have to buy a comparison coin already graded prior to buying any raw for possible grading. Its a very sharp coin in reverse proof.

The reverse proof is not something that you would see raw very much. I think they are too uncommon. They came out for 2018 the anniversary year in different denominations.

You have a good looking collection. I have many toned nickels that I picked up trying to complete my registry set. Some are nice some are not so nice. I do not look for toned coins. I mostly look for low priced MS66 coins some just happened to be toned. You can always keep an eye out for replacement coins after your set is compleat. That is what most of us do.

  5. When you have a clip one side can have more metal than the other side. If you are going to post a copied response to a thread dprince you should at least explain yourself, otherwise it has no merit. Anyone here can surf the web and post the links that you have. The truth is they do not have to because they have a quality that you do not comprehend....    A.. EXPERIANCE =  B.. KNOWLEGE

Not sure if you have a match for DDO-10 or not, I do not see the little flag above the tail of the 2 in your photos, maybe the lighting is washing it out.   I found one myself earlier this year going through some of my cent roll stash.   As you wrote this is too minor to have any value and I believe that both NGC and PCGS stop at DDO-9 for attribution, still a fun find anyway.

No it is not the DDO-010 I looked at on Verity Vista, The coin I posted is the last one on the Wexler page Eagle posted. It is this one .1972 1¢ WMDO-001 Doubled Master Die

It's hard to tell from those photos, but there are some better die markers with complete descriptions and photos for a 1972 (P) 1C WDDO-010 at DoubledDie.com at the following link to compare with the coin in-hand.  Also, even if a match it doesn't look like it would be significant enough to be attributed by NGC.

No I think these were from the mint to visitors.

I see. Still $50 is a lot of money. Reportedly there were no mint sets sold to the public in 82 and 83 so those would have to be from the mint. I can't say what the coins would be like. Most mint sets I have found still have some unpleasant looking coins. IMO.

What's the possibility of getting full steps from the souvenir sets from 1982 and 1983?  $50 each is a high price to pay for them though.

I am not familiar with those sets. Most third-party production sets do not have the best coins available.
