  1. You found that Golden Nickel! Only one known to exist! Lol nice picks JP!
  2. The green stuff is verdigras. Brings down value of cents. An acetone soak may pull that off.
  3. Yes I did attach a note which was acknowledged by Grace in receiving . She called me about it. I said possible VAM 3A. It’s kind of disappointing on that note, but not much I can do at this point. We both saw the markers on this coin, I know they were there.
  4. I am counting my lucky stars, I have waited since November 4th, finally graded and shipped. The 1887 Morgan didn’t get a VAM but I’m not sure they did the varietal check. 2021 PEACE UNITED STATES $1 HIGH RELIEF FIRST RELEASES NGC MS 70 2021 'CC' MORGAN UNITED STATES $1 CARSON CITY PRIVY MARK FIRST RELEASES NGC MS 69 1998 P EAGLE UNITED STATES S$1 NGC PF 70 1887 UNITED STATES $1 NGC MS 62

  7. It has a reeded edge can you tell if there is edge lettering in it. It will fall into this range somewhere. man example from EBay right now.
  8. I would get this coin looked at by an American Numismatic Association dealer. It appears to be a 1795 flowing hair cent with a reeded edge. It could be very valuable. Please don’t let anyone but a reputable dealer appraise it. It would be definitely worth having the dealer have it graded at NgC good luck
  9. Tom I am so sorry you are feeling badly about this forum, the hobby and other things that may be affecting your life. I hurt for you, my friend , and I don’t say that lightly! 10. Kath13 filing taxes is easier than that NGC form! I make mistakes every time I submit one! That said, the experts at NGC are very good at figuring out what needs to be done. Any specific effects such as FBL or DD and such should be indicated under attribution . even with that they see so many coins, They usually will find whatever may be special about any coin. They are experts and inspect millions of coins. You can also attach a descriptive note to the coin holder as I did recently with an 1887 Morgan suspected VAM. A person in receiving called me to adjust the tier for that one. submit away, they’ll figure it out.
  11. Coinbuf only $11.50 I will try the acetone bath for the verdigris. I know how rare the proof is I just can’t afford one!

  13. You guys are the best! James Longacre would have been proud! sorry that this one is a rounded bust.
  14. Welcome Clay to the forum and welcome to to fooled buyers club! We’ve all been there ! My last one was an over graded Morgan. But overall, I’ve stayed the course and valuation far exceeds the expense and the enjoyment value is something else again. I was lucky enough to acquire the entire Kennedy set from 1964 to 2021 proof and BU . Question of the day. Was there a Kennedy half “W”mint? then I got on a proof set kick 1964-to not done yet. About 40. I think the Kennedy coins are under appreciated.
  15. Does this 1864 Indian have the extra “L” on the lower part of the Liberty ribbon or not?
  16. RWB here are some pictures of two Lincoln cents. The first is a 1909 VDB the second is a 1958 D I am not noticing significant differences in the two coins.
  17. Quite right. I expected to at least see it and talk about it. Mostly dialogue from a wacky Dustin Hoffman and a little more sane Dennis Franz. Pass on it I watched it this afternoon. Now I’m looking for Coin Hoist but it’s only on Netflix.
  18. No Country for old Men! Javier Bardiem. The cashier called Heads. His life was spared.
  19. I think it is. The Philippine mahogany acts as a desicant/humidity prevention. That is why cigars are shipped and stored this way. Besides I do use multiple desicant packs in each box.
