  1. LemE and Neophite, congratulations to both of you. I am just into my 2nd year and I am so impressed by both of your collections. I was proud of my 10,000 points in my registry until I looked at some of your coins. Wow Neo, that 1917 Standing Liberty is OUT standing! 3,500 points on that one alone! My collection jumped all over the place. In the last few months, I managed to get 42 proof sets from 55 on. I got the 2021 Morgan and Peace, and have two MS63 Morgan’s. I have bought wayyy more than I should have, I can’t imagine the amount of cash you guys gave out! good luck in your collecting!
  2. I just finished Roger’s book, from Mine to Mint, excellent I had no idea so MUCH went into coin making. I loved all 538 pages of it!
  3. I saw this graded example on EBay, and wondered why it could be BU and not a level of MS. Can anyone explain?
  4. I noted the off center denticles on the obverse but not the reverse. Hmm.
  5. James and RWB I was watching it on Feebay so I wondered if I might take a shot at it. I don’t have an “O” Morgan
  6. Thank You both! Like the article states, Franklins are very difficult to judge by pictures.., You guys saved me $30. Im going to try to find a graded example.
  7. Oh well.. I still like them and will keep them on the shelf. I will never spend money to grade these things. I learned that lessons with the First issue of Sacgawea. Thank You though
  8. Thanks guys, bought from The consignment Hub on Ebay. This is the 2nd time and last time that I have been Disappointed by them. Returning the coin.
  9. One more view. Can someone else ring in on this. I can return it if it doesn't seem like the real thing. Thanks Bill
  10. Does anyone thin this is a true "Bugs Bunny" error with Fully Separated Bell Lines. Seller stated : 1955-p Franklin Half. Error. "Bugs Bunny" 100% FSHBLs. BU
  11. I should add that, unfortunately this coin is not mine! It is for sale on EBay for $249 I think.
  12. I received 9 Proof quarters today, one bi-centennial and eight others including 4 cameos! 18.00 all in
  13. I think your a little off on that comment. I see only one less than 10.00 and it is an open bid. I looked at sold ones graded and they are quite a bit more. I realize they aren’t worth much as I would not get them graded but I still think they are unique and I like them.
  14. Roger, I think they are innovative as the designs just aren’t heads on a plate but a tribute to each states contribution to innovative aspects. I realize it just bubble gum machine stuff and not worth much but at 2-3 bucks for a P,D set, it’s not that bad to spend money on. Btw. Just got the book today, I’ll start tonight.
  15. I agree Coinbuf, just another book on the shelf but I like them as they are unique, fairly low mintage and eye appealing worthless pieces of metal. Lol
  16. Sorry these Stars are just labels, no different than flag labels. what FenntuckyMike was referring to is the star or symbol behind the grade.
  17. Jopet, sorry these coins have either been handled, mishandled or stored inadequately. Better closer pictures would help but from the far away shot, they don’t look very good.
  18. I bought these individually P,D Brilliant uncirculated, and created an album. All in, including the album, I've spent $73.29 According to Both PCGS and NGC an MS65-66 is worth about $10 each. I now have 28, So seems like I should keep up with them. Anybody else see value here in the future. Not like the Presidential dollars which I only have a couple of I think these would be less popular and stand to increase value over time. Whatya Think?
  19. 9 S Proof Quarters 70,71,72,73,74,76,77,78,79 Bicentennial Proof Plus 4 UCAM proofs, plus 4 Proofs (18.00) delivered!
  20. I believe it is a coin edge hit near the Unum. That is incredible that someone could miss that. I would be more concerned with that white spot over the left wing. The coin is an MS70, so if you can’t return it, you could always turn around and sell it and get another. I looked at the production picture too. It didn’t seem very clear to me. Not like the photos they provide to me but then I pay the extra for the digital photo. I would also be concerned the the ding at 5 o’clock near the rim and whatever that black spot is on the obverse.
  21. Thanks GBrad,no I didn’t see any doubling either. Just saw the contrasting sharp points and weak points and that seemed to jump out at me. Why. Not that it is anything remarkable but just found it odd. thanks again
  22. I came across this 1996 D Lincoln cent. The Obverse is sharp as is most of the Reverse but some interesting weak points. The statue is barely visible and some of the letters in "United States of America are very weak as well. This seems to match up somewhat to Variety Vista 1996-D LDR. I assume I'm wrong but then again I usually am. LOL The picture with the arrows in Variety Vista. Thanks in advance.
  23. They are real good about checking forms for errors. Unfortunately it doesn’t do Much to shorten the 3 month wait time.
  24. Just bought the book Roger, helping you recover from flood damage! 😆
