  1. Per Coin World In addition to the design changes, the new coins have an added anti-counterfeiting security device. On the American Eagle 1-ounce gold and 1-ounce silver coins, a notch appears on the edge at the 6 o’clock position, interrupting the reeding, as an anti-counterfeiting device. Now I’m a little confused three different pictures of 2021 W Type 2 with a slight variation in placement of the missing ridge. Hmmm
  2. RWB, you are exempt from answering Did you know that dimes have 118 reeding ridges? The Quarter has 119 https://www.icpl.org/articles/why-does-quarter-have-119-ridges btw, you most likely know that the 2021/22 ASE coins have a missing reed as an anti counterfeiting measure. BUT DID YOU KNOW THE POSITION OF THAT MISSING RIDGE VARIES? it is under the 2 on one “w” coin and under the 0 on some wondering if the missing reed placement is random or does it vary by mint? The example of the US mint 2022 silver eagle proof seems to show the missing reeded edge under the Sun.. Hoping someone knows.
  3. One of those warm weather dilemmas. My son had that happen in Pontra Vedra. I had no tools and had to put my mouth on the clean out and blow about ten times. Lol at least no spiders jumped in my mouth (that I know of) haha
  4. RWB, I am so sorry about your flooding. That REALLY stinks (pun intended). Sorry it cost you that much. Major loss damage or trying to fix a problem? Hope your coin collection wasn't down there! EEK
  5. Deanna I was the first to respond sorry to be terse. We see a lot of damaged coins and so many it becomes somewhat not exciting. We aren’t a bunch of crabby old people. Welcome to the coin forum and please continue to post questions here. Your photos are adequate as is your question.
  6. I ,personally think it’s a forgery. Seller has only sold a few items, the 8 and 5 don’t look right, the edge is supposed to be reeded and smooth alternatively, we can’t see the edge only from straight on shots and the fact that there are only 10 of these left after the rest of the 500 minted were melted down. Why would this guy just not sell it to Whytes? Also what can you mail from England to the US for 1.00? I smell scam stay away.
  7. Had to laugh trying to imagine a golden “Hose” shoe 👞
  8. Picked up this 1909 Indian Cent this week. It looks really good to me. Does anyone think it should be graded? It seems to have 4 diamonds on the ribbon and excellent devices and rims. TIA
  9. I didn’t want to combine them as I was logging them as I sorted bins out. To combine them would have taken a lot longer. Glad I am done with them. To bad they are not worth anything (I’m told by many mass buyers) the ultra pro top loaders are worth at least 5c each and there are nearly 40,000 of them. Still like new. As are the cards. sad testament to any type of collecting.
  10. Well when you have up to three hundred of the same player, it multiplies fast.
  11. They were in a box within a box for the last 15 years. Long before i was remotely serious about coins.
  12. A 2002 Euro Coin A Hungarian 100 Forint Coin two Czech 1 Koruna Coins Kinda neat finds in my own house!
  13. Well I didn’t say 74,000 lines but 74,000 cards lots of duplicates but it is over 50,000 lines. Still was a load of work.
  14. VkurtB I have worked with spreadsheets for 30 years. Yes it makes a big spreadsheet but it is very handy. my son was an Avid baseball card collector and I just finished logging 74,000 cards into an organized spreadsheet. That took me a few months. I have a lot of coins and needed pictures and valuation documentation besides knowing exactly what I paid and where they are.
  15. Rummy13 provide me your email address and I’ll try to put together some instructions and examples. Bill
  16. I just made my own spreadsheet entitled coin collection with a current update date “=today()”showing all pertinent information, then on a second sheet within that workbook actual photos inserted by year, mint whatever order, then create a row in the first sheet with a hyperlink to the line number location of the related photo. Think about the organization of the photos as if you add lines, the hyperlinks you created will have to change. I included number of coins, sorted by denomination and type, year, mint, type grade or estimated grade, purchase price, date, current value, other attributes, certification numbers, and photo hyperlink. If you PM me, I’ll send you a sample section of both sheets. Best thing, it’s free.
  17. Geez Coinbuf, I had to look that one up! maybe a Target employee lol.
  18. Someone with a nail set having fun! PMD post-mint damage.
