I finally found a 1956 D I was happy with after searching over 3 years. Finally found one without old ugly brown and black toning. Someone else wanted it bad as I did but, I ended up with the winning bid.  I way over paid but Im fine with that. Hard telling how long till I found another. This was sure a hard date for me where Im limited on places to buy from.

I really like the innovation dollar series. Its a great series to collect. Espically great for people on a budget. I have all the proof and reverse proof sets so far except for 2023. Im getting ready to order them in a couple days. Had a good little run of bad luck past few months. I got to where I can start working on my collection again. Ill probably order them this evening.

I finally got around to ordering the proof and reverse proof sets for 2023 earlier this week. Now Im caught back up. I wish they would have kept putting the reverse proofs in individual packaging like they done withe the first few. Made them more interesting in the packs with the fun little facts on the OGP. It was fun and interesting for kids anyways. Kinda ruined it putting them all 4 in the same case with no details that inspired the designs. Just my opinion anyway.

AI is in its infancy and is quite often wrong or misleading when generating descriptions, documents, etc., for coins and most things in general as you have stated, but where can it go from here? How useful can it become and how will it be used in numismatics in the future?
To expand on my hypotheticals in the OP. If auction houses generally shift to AI and use it for lot descriptions will subpar and misleading commentary provide an advantage to a more knowledgeable bidder who relies less on descriptions, or will it just keep the riffraff out and the sharps keep sharping? A good description can help a lot and a poor or inaccurate one can hurt but how much?
As AI becomes more accurate will there be less lots slipping through, e.g. varieties that are not listed in a description or on a TPG label, minor doubling that would not normally be noted is, etc.? Will AI cherry pick all the lots, list them, and be more accurate and find more than is done now resulting in fewer deals or bargains for bidders?
With more and more high resolution images being taken of coins and banknotes, available data, and most cellphones having the capability to take these images how soon will AI become proficient at determining a relative grade or condition of a coin?
When will AI be a useful numismatic research tool, if ever? FlyingAl's proof cameo project comes to mind, if and when enough images are collected can they be ran through an AI program to determine die varieties and identify differences (die markers)? Could AI be used to decipher mint documents from scans or images of the originals , transcribe, sort, and provide meaningful data, information or articles?
How will TPG's use this technology?
Plenty of scenarios out there for AI and numismatics, good and bad.

I acquired these four 1939-45 PCGS MS 66 RD graded Lincoln cents at a coin show last weekend. All but the 1945-D are in holders from approximately twenty years ago.

I won this 1920-S Lincoln cent in a 2x2 holder as a door prize at yesterday's coin club meeting.  I grade it Choice Very Fine, with some areas of dirt or verdigris but otherwise a nice brown example. It is only worth a few dollars, and I have a somewhat better (Extremely Fine) example in the album collection I formed decades ago, but I thought this one notable for a well-formed date and mintmark and even strike. This issue often comes with a "mushy" appearance.

I like them and have all the marks and strikes thru 2023, as one of the few modern coins I collect are dollar coins.  I'm pretty sure @Hoghead515 collects them too.  Some may not realize they are the circulating dollars to be issued if needed by the mint following completion of the Presidential dollar coins.
But the thing I think could have been designed better is the obverse.  While I like the large Liberty figure, the top area is a little barren, as if everything was liquid and drained to the bottom.
I think they should have spaced things out better, and put the year and mark on the obverse like most of the other coins instead on on the edge.  Like the Presidential dollars the year and mark are lightly punched incuse on the edge, which is the first thing to wear off or get gunked up.

Im new and was on a bad forum and appreciated what you guys said and left the reddit forum but i never would have went to you tube and atleast new better then just googling to come and join this chatboard and also got my new (red bible) red book , but i also like doing my own research to just needed to be guided to the material . I again thank you guys for not bashing me and leading me to the right information (actually it was alot of the posters on this post) and not just tearing me down because i didnt really know any better . I did some research on errors and actually found a few that i had and didnt even know i had because of it . If theres any other good forums or message boards you fine people know of i would love to know because im always up for a good read to better my understanding of collecting

To ignore the request for an opinion, or to make them try to "find out on your own", imho would be doing a huge disservice to the hobby. If someone is totally new, they aren't going to even know where to begin to look. And I haven't tried it, but I am sure a Google search will also be mixed with tons of bogus information as well (even directing them to YouTube coin *vomit*).
Then you are believing the person with no knowledge is going to go to the appropriate website and get good information (probably not). Do you see how damaging that is? Once they have done their incorrect research they become another one of those that @Sandon has mentioned that thinks "we" are wrong. It is because they are already misinformed before they ever come here to ask for an opinion.
We all only have so long on this earth, and I believe it is up to those with proper knowledge to spread that knowledge while they can. I think the hobby is for the betterment if despite how many times we may tire of having to repeat ourselves that we properly and correctly educate those who seek truthful knowledge. I don't think in the end it matters if our opine/advice/guidance is disregarded. I think it matters to pass it along, and remember it is possible for those who reject proper knowledge, that years in the future may eventually get themselves on a better path, come back and read their post and possibly even admit they were in err. Even if they do not, we still should be helpful.

Some of those who post photos of damaged coins or those with minor anomalies that they think are mint errors are members of the general public or very new or casual collectors who know little or nothing about coins. You can't expect them to understand how coins are made and what errors are possible. I try to humor them and explain why their coins are not mint errors. Some are appreciative, and a few may ultimately become knowledgeable collectors. Those who insist that they are right and we are wrong I ultimately ignore and leave to bask in their invincible ignorance.
