  1. Those are some very nice additions JP. Congrats on the additions my friend.
  2. In my opinion your the ,"NICKEL MAN." Ive learned some very cool facts from you on nickels. Love you presentation on your registry set also.
  3. Not good at grading. But I agree with AU58. The wear is very little but you can clearly see it. It is an absolutely beautiful coin though. Lovely toning. I would be very happy to have one like it in my collection. Good luck on the grade. Hopfully Im wrong and it gets an MS grade.
  4. Ive got a counterfeit draped bust dollar that is rusting. Sounds like if his half is rusting its a counterfeit. But why would someone want to go through the trouble of counterfeiting a kennedy half dollar?
  5. I agree. Every time I do a google search on a coin thats the first thing that pops up Esty adds for common junk with a $500,000 price tag. Google needs to do something about those adds being the first thing people see. Some people really believe that nonsense.
  6. In my opinion these crazy You Tube videos dont help getting peoples hopes up. And people dont take condition into consideration. Grandpas dateless buffalos are worth a fortune.
  7. Ive not read the Saints book. The only reason being that I dont collect saints. They are way out of my budget. But you never know someday I may be able to. I may try to get a copy cause they may be hard to come by one of these days. If nothing else I also been collecting books about coinage. Wont hurt to have a copy on hand.
  8. From Mine to Mint was an excellent book also. Im starting on it again. I highly recommend it to anyone who has not read it. Espically if you want to learn anything about the early mints and where it all started. And all the equipment. Its a must read for every collector. He covers just about everything. Even how they were losing gold out the chimmney from the furnaces. Also how they recovered gold from the shower drains each year. Things Id never dreamed about before. Also got pictures and descriptions through the whole book. Hog gives it 2 thumbs up. If anyone is wondering where you can find it, I got an autographed copy from Wizard Coin Supply on Ebay. Some of the best money I ever spent on the hobby. Cant wait for the sequel.
  9. In my roll hunting today I found another coin that resembles a spitting eagle. Im not sure about this one neither. Looks like its to far to the right so Im kinda doubting it. But its a 1972 D and it has the same indented look as the other but the location is a little off. It sure made me look twice though.
  10. Thank you all for the get well wishes. Hes doing really good with it. Hes had his vaccine also. He just had very mild symptoms so far. His roommate was the same way. It sure hit at a bad time. I was counting on getting to work next week where we was off all week but ill have to wait a few days. I think I can keep from getting it but wanna be safe and not infect my coworkers just in case. Some of them have family members thats very sick and cant afford to covid it in on them. Ive went thru 2 cans of lysol today. My son is confined to his room and we been wearing mask. Im going overkill on the spray and sanitizers. Been taking every precaution necessary. About the quarters @Mowhawkif you do un across any I may try to get them off you. Same to you @CoinbufIf I cant find any soon I may try to buy a couple off of you all soon as we get thru this rough spell. The way its looking it may be spring before Im able. Thank you all very much for the offering. That means alot to me and it is greatly apriceated. Not much after I posted this I found the 2010 Mt Hood Orgeon in pretty decent shape. @Coinbufwe have mostly Philly coins here. Some Denvers are hard to come by. If you ever need a certain Philly coin just let me know and Ill keep watch. I still find BU ish Phillys from the early 2000's. That goes for everyone. Just let me know. Thank you all very much.
  11. Thats a nice album. Wish mine had the mintages on it. Looks like Im not the only one that problem of not finding those.
  12. Wonder why it is 2010, 2011, and 2012 quarters are so hard to find? Ive been searching for 3 or 4 months for ones to fill some slots. I had to settle for a couple very ugly ones because they are the only ones I found. Im eventually gonna replace them. But I got 8 more rolls I exchanged for to check then ill be down a few days. Gotta quarintine. My son got corona at college and I had to bring him home today. Got exposed. Now I gotta take off work another week. I sure cant wait to go back. But at least I did get to focus on the collection quite a bit. Looks like Im gonna have a week of reading coming up. But to get back on topic, has anyone else seen a shortage of these years? I dont know if it may be my geographical location or what the deal is. But Im finding numerous multiples of all the other dates as well as the state quarters. Also having trouble with the 2009's P and D for my other album.
  13. That is a very nice one. The one I found is no where near as nice as that one. Its still in nice shape but that one is super nicer. I found another while back. It was worn really bad but you can see other parts of the clash.
  14. Yeap. Thats why I had my doubts the whole time. The curve is off. Probably just an old scratch or something.
  15. Thats what was throwing me off. I figured the only way it could be is if the die was turned a little bit or something. But Im thinking it may be something else. Been nice to find two in one day. Espically the same date and mintmark. But if the die was turned it would still be out at the end of the beak prob. Just run at a slightly different angle. Im not really sure but im thinking it to good to be true.
  16. Found another 1974 D that may be a spitting eagle. It sure looks like it under a loupe. Looks indented but in a slightly different spot. I may try to use something with a little more powerful magnification in a few days and see for sure. I dont feel as certain with this one as the other. Also the line goes up on the wing a tiny bit.
  17. Not gonna turn that 74 D loose @GBrad Brought him home and mounted him in a 2×2 flip. Made sure he dont make it back in a roll. Sorry to hijack your JP.
  18. I just found one those spittin eagles. Cant get a real good photo but you can see it plain as day. 1974D
  19. Yeap. I should go back but I may just let it go. Teach me to pay better attention. Was in heavy thoughts. Sometimes when Im doing something and thinking hard about something else I lose focus. I let it stay out in the wild and maybe someone else will find it. Im practicing catch and realese coin hunting this week.
  20. It didnt affect it any. Youll never believe this. Found one a little better shape and traded it out by mistake. Wasnt even thinking. Forgot about it being that one. Just took it to the bank to. Lol. I must be losing my mind. Cant believe I done that.
  21. I been snowed out of work. Old ladys rig wont pull out of the driveway. It solid ice. I been having to take her to work and sit out in the parking lot all day till she gets off. To much gas to make 2 trips a day. So gives me something to do.
  22. I forgot that was there. Well didnt really forget. Just wasnt thinking when I snapped that photo. NOBODY gonna get MY quarters. Lol
  23. Not a W quarter but did find one kinda neat. A tiny bit off center. Used it to fill a slot in the ole Whitman.
  24. I been searching all week. Been trading in rolls for more rolls. No luck this week so far. Did fill a few spots in my Whitmans. Rough trying to do it in a truck.
