As others have said I would just put it in a flip or capsule. Its got some circulation wear and to many dings to grade very high. You can buy one already graded in better condition then what it would cost to send in. Its a pretty expensive process once you start adding insurance and shipping. You have to pay for the shipping both ways. If it were a rare date or something like that it would be different. But the 1945's are pretty common. Still a very cool find. Id take em all day long like that. The holder and display Alex shared is very nice and a great idea.

My youngest son wants to help me put together a set of Franklins. Its going to be a fun father, son project. We been watching this one all week as the clock slowly counted down. My son really wanted it. He loves the toning on it. So I ended up bidding on it and we was fortunate enough to get the winning bid. Not got it in hand yet.

It sure is. Ive been broken hearted more than once in this hobby. I spent a little more than I was allowed to once or twice. Also got a few coins she didnt know about. Thats why she got tore up when she seen it. She tries to check the mail now before me now but I got someone working for me on the inside. The boys check it and hide the packages for me before she gets home. So Im not really lying to her. Im just not telling her. I made a promise to her Id never lie but I never promised Id volunteer info. If she dont ask I dont tell.

I wish I had that. Ive seen some nice ones she talked me out of buying. But the good way to look at it is she keeps me in check. Makes sure I dont go over my budget.

I like light golden toning. I like ones with even rim toning. Golden toning a little darker at the rim and gets lighter as you get closer to the center. Not real big on monster rainbow toners. Also like kobalt blue nickels.

Be some serious toning after a while.

Same here. Its got me in trouble also when my wife seen it. She was watching as I was looking at my coins and I wasnt paying attention to the combined value at the time, but she sure noticed it and freaked out just a little bit. It was my quarters to. The ones I have the most in. I tried to tell her thats the value they are worth and I didnt pay that much for them, but she wasnt buying it. I thought she was gonna knock me in the head with a skillet again. Please people who run the NGC website, make it optional to show that part. Be nice to disable it when our wives are lurking around while were on there admiring our progress. Those skillets hurt.

I ended up waking up like I do every night, several times. Checked and my pay went thru. Then checked the mint. I was able to order one. Suprised they lasted that long. Ive been wanting a type 2 to add to the collection. Id really like to get a proof 2021 ty2 and Id be happy.

Your very welcome. If you go to variety plus on NGCs website it will show you all the true doubled die coins and you can compare the ones you find to them. It will also show you many examples of true doubling and help you learn the difference in them. Good luck to you and happy hunting.

Im crossing my fingers they last till I get paid tomorrow. Ive not got any type 2s yet. Id really love one of those. Got my check stub. This pay check was a little better than my last when I checked my stub while ago. Everything is getting so expensive anymore. I gotta figure out how to eat on $7 today without over drawing my bank account. Our work slowed down big time this spring. I guess next week we finally get opened up again. Theyre saying 6 days a week for the next few months.

I really wanted one pretty bad but Ive only got $30 in my bank account. Last 2 weeks at work was very slow. They been telling us for the past month its getting ready to open up wide open. Im bout ready to sell a kidney or something. Im bout fed up with this being poor and broke all the time. Done great at this job last summer. Wish it would hurry and open up. Ive missed out on some coins I really wanted.
