  1. Ive been putting together a set of quarters in mint state from 32 to 64 and its been quite a challenge. If I wanted to get by cheap and a bit easier from rolls id go with 65 thru 98. Or state quarters. They are fun also. Ive been working on a couple Whitmans with them. Also halfs could be fun also. Get rolls from banks. Thats gonna be my next Whitman project.
  2. It is just staining and toning. Dont know if they could do anything or not. Im happy with a 65 though. Its a beautiful coin in hand. It dosent look as bad.
  3. Im gonna say xf details. Cleaned. Cant really tell but it looks cleaned to me.
  4. Thats what I like about my beard. Have some bisquits and gravy in the mornings and I can eat them all day long.
  5. That would be an awsome prize to win. Also the year Ky became a state.
  6. You wouldnt believe some of the coins weve seen on here that people post asking if they should submit them. I think it has alot to do with the get rich quick on pocket change videos on You Tube. Weve seen several parking lot coins on here that people think are valuable errors.
  7. I agree with @Coinbuf. Shouldnt get anyones hopes up if you know its definately damage. It will get them to thinking they may have an error coin of some type and waste their money submitting it. Better off to be blunt and to the point. This coin is 100% damage after it left the mint.
  8. Definately damage. Looks like someone took a grinder or file or something to it. People get bored and do all sorts of crazy things to coins.
  9. Mines getting a little scruffy. Im gonna let er grow to my knees if it will do it. Now my hair is getting very long. I need to cut it. Starting to look like a hippy. Havent had time to get to the barber shop.
  10. When I first learned about him they was calling him the cameo king in the article I was reading. They was talking about him writting books on cameo coins.
  11. I never buy off tv but sometimes I like to turn over to the sales channels and just look at stuff when theres nothing else on. Everytime Ive turned it on there thats all Ive seen. Old Rick Tomaski and all of em trying to sell the 2021 Morgans. Seems like they are pretty desperate trying to unload them all.
  12. Looks like alot of fun. See any cool rarities? That was probably a dumb question. Ive never been to actually see what its like. I figured they would have some very rare coins on display and for sale.
  13. I agree with contact marks from the reeded edge of another coin also.
  14. I never thought about it till after I posted. I later thought you may have been being sarcastic. Anyway on those most dates in MS 64 can be bought between $20 to $40. And all around that range. Some a little higher.
  15. On those it would be much cheaper to just buy a lesser grade than resubmit them.
  16. Its been a lot of fun hunting them down. Ive learned alot about these and still yet have lots more to learn.
  17. Hows it going Modwriter? Aint seen you in a while.
  18. Good luck. That would be cool. Hope you have one. Keep us updated.
  19. I plan on holding onto it and passing it down to my boys. They are interested in collecting and Im hoping to have a very good start for them. Dont know how they will divide it up. Im gonna work on other sets also. My youngest son and I are working on a set of business strike Franklins also. Im gonna try to get the nicest coins possible I can afford for them.
