Alex in PA. reacted to Just Bob in Alan Shepards Space Suit Quarter
Wait - what? Did you just say that, because there is a die crack on your coin, the person portrayed is no longer Neil Armstrong, but is now Alan Shepard?

Not nearly as many as you’re known for.

I like it, but just outside my budget for the P-lot set.

Yes. Saw it there. It's really difficult not to make fun of people so incredibly stupid, gullible, self-inflictedly-ignorant, or greedy -- and obvious about the whole thing.

I would have liked to be in the grading room at PCGS when the grader read the form then pulled these bad boys out. I bet he called over others to share a laugh

This is one of the best I have seen. I have reported and hopefully it gets pulled. This seller has 53 insane “error” listings for insane prices. I am taking the time to report most of them. However this is one that really made me laugh. This thing looks like it was trampled by a team of mules instead of a mule. And it is body bagged because PCGS doesn’t grade mules. Yours for the low low price of $49,999.99 and free shipping!

Alex in PA. reacted to J P M in I had to have it
Well I went to the Coin Purse today and did some shopping. I found the last BU coin I was missing in my ASE collection. I have a proof 2007 I picked up last year to fill the whole but I was unable to find a BU one last year. It was a hard one to find for them and a few other coin shops but they had one for me today so now it is complete.

Alex in PA. reacted to Coinbuf in Should I get these graded?
Will cost more than any value would be gained from having these graded.

Alex in PA. reacted to JT2 in Should I get these graded?
The RWB is absoluty correct. none of these coins would pass the threshhold of making up for the cost of shipping and grading. they are nice but all are damaged and cleaned. Maybe we can get the RWB to hold an online class?? once a week may not be enough.

Alex in PA. reacted to RWB in Should I get these graded?
I don't think any of the three are worth the "grading" cost. The gold $5 has damage that would likely prevent grading, and it's a low-end scratched coin. The others are not worth the fees and postage. Just my opinion -- others will differ, and that's OK.

Alex in PA. reacted to Coinbuf in Is she worth grading?
Absolutely not, very common coin in less than MS condition. Again please use the newbie section of the forum for questions about coins, the marketplace is for selling coins.

Alex in PA. reacted to RWB in Is it Morgan Dollar 1888 VAM 16?
Better to post this on VAMworld.com and get opinions from members there.

Alex in PA. reacted to gmarguli in What is NGC's First Allocation designation?
Not necessarily. I've been watching the 2021 Morgans and SAE as I have a bunch coming up for sale. I didn't spend the extra $ to have any special label or designation. From what I've seen, these special labels/designations hasn't consistently produced a higher sale price. In fact, several times those with these labels sold for less than standard labels.
