1799 Capped Bust Heraldic Eagle - Small Obverse Stars

 

No, this isn't part of my collection (at least not anymore tonofbricks.gif) While visiting my folks last week, we were going through my Dad's old Red Book. He sold one of these at auction back in the mid-late 60's in California. He doesn't recall the sale price but he does recall it being what he thinks was the equivalent to an MS-62 or 63.

The J453 struck in copper is filling the Double Eagle slot in my pattern denomination typeset.

Yeah their my pics. I'm happy with how the reverse came out but need to redo the obverse. I'm used to photographing 15mm coins so the 13mm gold dollar isn't too much of a stretch 27_laughing.gif.
