Bicentennial Celebration

Are you sure it's gold? I have one, it's MS. I carried it around in my pocket for a while, and now it's sitting on my desk. Should I take better care of it?

Next time I will pay more attention to what I pull out of my photobucket. This piece definitely does not belong here. The original post I posted earlier this evening will self destruct at in 3 minutes.

Rey

According to this auction, Rey's is a gold proof and Chad's is a bronze unc.

It has been almost a year since a post was added to this thread. I recently sent off some Gold to Bob Campbell for imaging and would like to share the results, even though these same coins have been posted one place or another in these forums. The images are tremendous, and as Skyman (Sy) always says regarding the imaging capabilities of Bob, "I think he did a wonderful job." No doubt as you can see below.

All three of those double eagles, the HRWR in particular, are more spectacular than the images would lead you to believe. I was a bit disappointed in the results, but with more practice I think the outcome will become better.

Chaahhhhchingggg!

Great coin. I love those early half eagles. If I were not on a Bustie Binge, I would just save my money until I could afford one, in XF or AU of course!
