Holy moly! I love the Charles I unite from the Oxford mint. Collecting world coins is so much more varied and interesting than collecting US.

Good stuff here from everyone!

BHM #1165 commemorated the Jubilee of the Birth of Sir Walter Scott in 1821. This is a silver cliche of the medal's reverse (which is the side I liked best!)

Yarm - very cool. I like that a lot.

I picked this up for $22 because it just struck my fancy. Genuine graded due to some scuffing in the beard. I wonder how many of these errors are out there for this coin?

sometimes it's the simple pleasures . .. or just having fun in collecting ..

Most of my interests don't have a catagory in the registry, so I'm processing items I bought several years ago , while I wait..

http://coins.www.collectors-society.com/wcm/CoinCustomSetView.aspx?s=2205

There were no banks for storing your collection in the 1500's , so happy to get a grade of 30 to 50 on these items...

Nice coins!!! :golfclap: I am still in shock as I have just picked up a 2003 Cobalt strike Canadian silver dollar in PF69 Ultra Cam. It has a pop of 17 and only 1 higher in NGC. The reason for my shock is that I only paid $18.50 for it!!! :whee: I will post pics when it arrives.

Zohar, I am sure you are well aware that the 1905 Beckenried is pretty scarce and to own one in MS65 is quite a feat.

When you get tired of it you know who to email...

Richter gives it an "R" rating and without checking with Rod Moore I believe that's pretty accurate.

It's a $300 medal in MS and for a MS65 maybe $350-$400 to the right person. It's the first one I have ever seen.

The High Relief Australian Kangaroo is not available for purchase from Perth if you have a US address. So it sucks you have to go through a secondary vendor to pick up the coin - the pricing being off its high helps. Based the NGC population, there seems to be some popularity to the low run coin.

Nice Box-O-Kookaburras!!! Saving for a rainy day?

Arrived from NGC today - purchased two in 2002 for $43 each with the intention of putting the one on a bracelet with other 1/10 coins I gave my wife as a wedding gift. Oh am I happy I forgot about this one... 1/1 for it's grade out of a total population of 32. The other came back a MS 69 due to a copper spot on the rev.

My first Polish coin, a 1932 5Z, minted in London.....

These are by far my favorite Polish types. Very nice one Hiho!

Thanks Ray. I saw it and fell instantly in love.

The first girl I ever loved was Polish.

Care to guess what my wife is?

Anyone have any coins from Friesland?

I used to own this...

1638WF-1200.jpg

I still own four (3 - 1739 Duits, one MS63RB and two MS65RB from a Swedish hoard) and a 1760 1S in MS62.

Just sold a 2S and a 6S West Friesland in lower grades.

Why? I'll trade the MS63RB 1739 for something interesting.
