I’ve bought some nice stuff from the mint but you need to be very selective. I couldn’t pass on this one either. I wanted the gold version and now I kick myself for not buying it back then as gold has increased in value substantially since 2019. That and it’s very attractive in gold. Popular Post Henri Charriere
I found both a few feet apart on a Manhattan street. I prefer the battered bottlecap on top for two reasons: a piedfort with primitive reeding because it is genuine and likely scarcer that its wannabe copper step-brother below. The reverse looks like a bottle cap. Very cool 😎 Hoghead515

Popular Post Henri Charriere
@Buffalo Head If you were to place an old wheaties on a R/R track, the coin would be elongated; if you were to place one in a vise, they were malleable enough to fold over in half. Popular Post EdG_Ohio
Purchased this 32'-S and a few others raw about a year ago. After staring them down this whole time to determine what I thought was their grades I decided to send in to NGC. I'm happy with the VF grade but bummed it says it was cleaned. I'm going assume chemically(or a buffer of sorts) because I couldn't find any defining marks of cleaning per-say. All were purchased well below their values. This is the cuz'n of a damaged 32-S I asked about 5/6/20 that I also purchased raw. A Peace 34' $1(MS63) and a 1887 Morgan(MS65) were sent in but I'll wait until I get better photo equipment, tired of bad images. I really like how a copper cameo pops, you get the real essence of what copper can look like. I bet it looks even better in hand. Great looking coin.
