Been asking it for years. Even learned to speak some Swedish. You'd think after over two decades of marriage she'd have gotten it by now, but noooooooo.

It could well be, Bob. I was going mainly by what looked like Greek lettering on the reverse. But I'm not married to that first take. When we get the measurables, I'll take a look at my Sears and the shiny new Lindgrens wife got me for the holidays.

When it's that faint, sorry, but it's not actually there. Something that looks like it might be there, but it's not the Carson City mint mark. That would be impossible to miss. It's just an 1882 Morgan with good detail and what looks like a worn and scratched obverse.

And STILL you can't just let people answer his question without throwing gratuitous shade at him. This added nothing useful whatsoever. I do not get why you seem to enjoy doing this so much.

No. You should ignore my opinion and believe whatever you want to believe.

Looks like a pretty bad fake of some sort of Ch'ing-themed coin, about what you'd expect for $7 on Regretsy.

You don't. If you bought it from a reputable person, get your money back. If you bought it from a disreputable person, you're hosed, presuming you yourself are a reputable person. If you were given it without compensation, you were given an item of no numismatic value.
These are common as dirt. There wouldn't even be a theoretical market for them, unless the plan is "hope for a clewless newb to happen along who does not know these are common as dirt." A reputable person would never do that. If it is actually silver (unlikely but not impossible; some counterfeiters use real precious metal), there's nothing morally wrong with selling it for bullion value provided you disclose its fakery. An advantage to the fakery is that there's no good reason the bullion buyer can't do a damaging assay to figure out just how much Ag (if any) is in it.
Were it me, first thing I'd do is run it past a magnet. If you get any attraction, I doubt it has enough Ag in it to bother with. Iron counterfeits with silver plating are a very common sort.

G.K. is an interesting pair of letters to be found on a Mexican item. It certainly isn't some mule of a US CW token and a Mexican coin, or something flaky like that; that's just outlandish. It's the right size for a 25c piece, at least by weight, but there is no Mexican Republic 25c with that combination of sides. Woods, how do you account for the fact that we can't see any sign of a lost loop on the reverse?

Thanks. I admit I find the commonalities in style between the shown examples more persuasive than the small irregularities on the OP's original, but a lot can happen to a coin (or a button that looks like one). I think you have the right of it here.

Might want to run a magnet near it. That's in the category of frequently counterfeited. A non-attraction doesn't prove it's authentic, but attraction would definitely prove it's fake. I had a whole stack jump six inches in the air and hit my rare earth stud finder, felt like catching a baseball barehanded.
