This was posted ATS by coinsarefun! Thought I would share here for those that are familiar with him. A sad loss!!
We spoke briefly on the night of the 22nd. I am told by a very close friend of his that it was very sudden.
.
I know he meant so much to so many people on this forum and his personal life. The hobby has lost another great person. Frank was a walking dictionary on all things coins..........everything from eye appealing coins, errors and tokens, medals.
.
I am beside myself as I was close to him and still don't know how to process this.
I never thought that I would be writing about Frank as I always thought it might be him to report about me.
.
RIP my dear freind and you will never be forgotten!Stefanie

To me it's just more of a cool find value. Given it's condition, maybe there are a few that might pay an extra few dollars for it but don't plan on retiring on it. Lol Cool find!

As the CC Mint ended production in 1893, I'd would guess the the coin is counterfeit/fake or a fantasy copy.
-
Looks like a basic run of the mill token. I don’t see any value in it.

I see soo many coins on ebay saying "No Mintmark" Error. It's cons looking for insufficiently_thoughtful_persons!

I don't even think most ASE's at 70 are pulling all that much money. The newer issues like Rev Prf and Enhanced coins have drawn values away from the regular one's. I only have about a dozen slabbed with the majority at 69 and a couple at 70. Values are not much higher from the 69"s. With all the newer modern bullion the mint is kicking out, I think they're leaving the classic ASE's in the past.

I can't believe I actually found one of these on ebay with this description.
These were used in Asia to set up currency counting machines and to test them for functionality. Very rare to find and I haven't seen these listed for years. To be clear, this is not a genuine $2 Federal Reserve Note. It was printed in China with very high quality ink and paper.

Doesn't matter what one calls it; it is a counterfeit $2 bill. Let Treasury know where you got it and who you got it from. They will notify USSS.
I have no idea where or when I got it.

I have about 3 dz $2 bills and I was looking thru them this evening. I have one that is a little strange. I've never seen one that started with 3 letters for the serial number and not a letter on the end. Also, the back is a different color from all the others I have. Has anyone seen one like this before? It has some chinese stamps on it also. Fake?? I have it pictured here with a normal $2 bill.
